Trump states "Both sides are to blame" for Charlottesville

How Nazism is legal in this country is simply dumbfounding. To wit:

  • The 14th amendment completely removed any superiority or privilege to anybody born in the United States. It in effect GURANTEES equality for all, regardless of race. It also strictly forbids any state to treat any citizen any differently under the law. Everybody is, in the eyes of both State and Federal law, equal.
  • Title 7 of the Civil Rights act strictly forbids any discrimination in the workplace regardless of race, color, religion, sex, and national origin.
So, in this country in both your private and business life, you are GUARANTEED equality. With that being the case, how can any supremacist group be legal? They are, by their very words, breaking the law no matter where they use them or under what circumstances, public or private.

This is not about free speech. This is about right and wrong. If you don't understand that, get on a plane, head on over to Berlin, Munich, Leipzig, Stuttgart or any other German city and they will be readily able and more than willing to educate you.

Could we stop issuing protest permits to the KKK and white supremacists now? The police don't seem capable of maintaining safety so that should be all the reason needed. No more public platforms for these whack jobs.
you can't.

charlottesville wanted to but were afraid of being sued over the 1a thingy. What surprises me is that when permits like that are issued it's mandatory police detail that the group has to pay for. I don't understand what they were thinking.

so worried about..now they're gong to be sued for the death.

The problem is though that those guarantees are not worth the paper they are written on. When you have a situation where a black woman in Texas is stopped by the police for a traffic violation, handcuffed, stripped naked below the waist and a police officers fingers inserted into the woman's vagina by the side of the road, you have to question whether the Constitution is worth anything at all! If that kind of thing can happen then it says to me that the Constitution is a waste of time because it isn't being upheld. That woman wouldn't have been treated like that if she were white, that's a guarantee.
Just my thoughts from across The Pond.

Oh, you mean that teacher that hung herself in her jail cell, after that bullshit traffic stop?
How about all the black men that have been shot down in the last 4 years for no real reason (not armed), or the hundreds (thousands?) that were simply murdered in the South because they were black.
The Constitution is a noble thought, but unfortunately if you were, or are, a woman, LGBTQ, a person of color, an American Indian, a non-native born American that isn't a WASP, you were (are) sort of fucked.
Nice idea, and hopefully it (Constitution) will actually work as intended, and sooner than later, because time is running out for us all.

That is nowhere near over yet. The wheels of justice in this nation, especially at the Federal level, are very, very slow most of the time, but they do get there eventually more times than not. I'm sure that by February of 2018, it's going to be a completely different story.

I'm over here and i agree with you. All of the officers involved should have been summarily fired and charged. What they did was despicable and totally unconscionable.

Until that happens every time, we live in a fascist police state and not under the rule of law.

America has thrown away all semblance of official accountability at every level of government and we are paying dearly for it, in the coin of freedom itself.

Unless and until that changes, we are headed for very dark times as a country.

What a load of bumbling idiotic s***.

So whats your excuse now since they are wanting to get rid of Washington, Jefferson etc etc

I believe it was George Washington Carver who did not want women's rights. So now are we going to get rid of anything that has to do with him? You know since it triggers women because just the mere mention of him causes blackouts, their hair to fall out, their left arm to shrivel up like raisins.

Everything Trump said was true
George Washington Carver?
Talking about bumbling idiotic SHIT (don't be afraid of the word), you, my Trump ball licking fool, are probably one of the reasons that there are flames in the streets, because you can equate Robert E Lee, Thomas Jefferson and George W Carver in the same paragraph.
I have no excuse for wanting all those treasonous traitors (Lee, Jackson, Longstreet, Forrest, etc) statues being removed from public areas, because that is what they were, fucking traitors to this country.
They fought to divide the country, and maintain slavery in 1860, ignoring the Constitution of the United States, but you apparently think that was OK.
So, I guess you are one of the 34% that think Trump is a good POTUS, which basically means you are a fucking idiot.
Enough said

It is time for all good citizens to stand up and demand that our government, and especially those within it, be held fully accountable for what they do. When we all demand it they will have no choice.

The daily litanies of division and discord are specifically designed to stave off this very necessity, for the continued profit of those in power.

See 'neoliberalism';

It takes a foreign viewpoint to see the forest for the trees.

it works in other countries.

agreed. we haven't seen anything yet. but when this is all over, when we realize just how close we've come to changing america forever..the morons out there will still gripe and obsess over our next president.

the choice will be even clearer yet they will find a way to be illogical.

Close to changing America forever?
The Electoral College has already changed this country forever, in the sense that the world really knows now we are full of dangerous fools, and that China and Russia actually seem to be more rational.
Sad
