Why wouldn't you use the Mueller case obstruction? He can't be indicted because the proper way to handle it is impeachment.
Extra bullet in the gun, and I would guess with Trump in the oval office, he has muddied the water so much that it is best to leave that in the courts where 12 ppl will have to sit through everything and decide his fate. This way the Democrats still get to put the "I" next to his name that he deserves for a obvious breaking of his oath of office, without ruining Mueller's case dragging it all out into the public.

I keep reading statements from Democratic Congressional leaders that they felt they needed to act quickly on these allegations BECAUSE they saw Trump and the GOP use the same tactics that were effective at muddying the waters in the Mueller investigation. So, they felt the need to get ahead of the propaganda stream and counter it with facts. The longer Trump had the field to himself, the longer his propaganda has to take hold.

When you can just have all your minions go forth and lie to the American people, use the white house as a backdrop in your own lies, then have foreign countries lie for you too, its a big hurdle.

They don;t want to confuse folks with too much at once. The phone call is black and white. Only hard core GOP can say it wasn't quid pro quo to get dirt on a political rival, and they know it really was.

They still need to get more of the general public on their side. This is something everyone understands.

Right at half of public thing it's a mistake to impeach. Big numbers in favor from dems, big numbers against from gop, slightly against from independents. We need to work on independents.
Almost half of Americans voted this motherfucker into office, meaning that they were fools then, and today the only ones not supporting impeachment proceedings to go forward are Republicans and more idiots.
I think finally intelligence will win out this time, right?
Or are we REALLY that fucking stupid?
We shall see.

"We" are really stupid. But only about half of Americans vote, so 1/4 put him in office. Most don't pay attention to politics until something big happens.

I think impeachment helps 45's chances to win reelection.. But something has to be done.

Will he win the popular vote?

I still think Joe or any of the other Dems will beat him. It will just be harder to talk about any issues now. It will be a mudfest, and 45 is at home in the mud.
Huh? I don't get you. You say he'll win, then you say any Democrat will win. Which is it? Maybe I'm slow and I accept that, I'm not hip to the interweb style. Will he win the popular vote?

No, I said "I think impeachment helps 45's chances to win reelection." I did not say I think he will win. But if we get into a messy impeachment, he may pull it out. And no, 45 will not win the popular vote.

I accept your description. I still feel Trump needs to be impeached, just on conviction. Political results don't matter in this regard.
I agree. I just hope we win in 2020. I don't think he will be removed from office unless something else turns up. The GOP senators are more scared of their voters than they are concerned about the Constitution at this point.

"Something else will turn up" will happen. It happens nearly every day. This fuck, we'll call him 45, thinks he can rule by the laws that he had in his "business", but it doesn't work that way in real life and he thinks things he does will not be reported. The investigative reporters, whistleblowers and the leakers are the true patriots of this country. I can't believe I'm even discussing this matter. I'm old.

What, the people are going too feel sorry for him?
Those day's are over.
He might have gotten away with that witch-hunt shit for awhile, but this is different.
I think now, except for his 37% core supporters, most voters really deep down inside know that he is a clear & present danger to the true ideal of American Democracy, meaning a core value of honesty, integrity, moral courage, and basic humanity, all of which are non-existent in this POS.
He's fucked, and he'll never ever recover from this.
Wanna bet?

You may be right. He has been real slow to respond. His first thoughts are to have more rallies. He should be lining up good lawyers at this point.

And to lose all he has to do is lose one state he carried in '16.

Trump is planning spending 10 billion on commercials next week specifically targeting Biden’s dealings in the Ukraine. They are going to be about how Biden was holding 1Billion in aid to The Ukraine unless they fired a prosecutor who was investigating his so Hunter. Poised to start airing tomorrow night . I don’t watch TV.

Biden: Trump’s $10M attack ad proves that he’s ‘terrified’

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/biden-trumps-10m-attack-ad-proves-that-hes-terrified/2019/09/27/36cf8ce2-e177-11e9-be7f-4cc85017c36f_story.html

The ad highlights Biden’s efforts to make U.S. aid to Ukraine contingent on that country firing its chief prosecutor and claims that the fired prosecutor was investigating Hunter Biden. It also accuses Democrats of trying to “steal the 2020 election” by impeaching Trump.

But in fact, the prosecutor had failed to pursue any major anti-corruption investigations, leaving Ukraine’s international donors deeply frustrated. In pressing for the prosecutor’s ouster, Biden was representing the official position of the U.S. government, which was shared by other Western allies and many in Ukraine.

Biden deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said in the statement that the new ad campaign is proof that Trump is “in a panic.” She said Trump “is trying to pick his opponent, and he will fail. Donald Trump is terrified of Joe Biden because the Vice President would beat him like a drum.”

total waste of money. The public has no say in his impeachment trial. He just feels guilty. And he is. Cover up the cover up. I looked at some prior election commercials and they are all so pathetic . It’s like this dramatized minute of loud in your face , this is it, Believe! . I wanna brainwash you And I can ...in a 1 min. commercial. So boring....and the “ this has been approved by” ... pathetic. tv and commercials. ..they are out dated. Tvs should be part of the new green deal. Tvs will not be made anymore.
