Trying 1 plant in coco - Brothers Grimm Cinderella 99 elite clone

I'm a soil grower and have grown in soil for 5 years. Many have told me over time, to try coco, for faster growth and better yield. I have tried once before and had problems keeping them healthy. Possibly ph and bad choice in nutes, with grower error thrown in...

I'm going to get a 5 gallon pot and veg and flower out my elite female regular C'99 clone in coco.

This is a very important time for me. I must learn how to grow in coco now. I'm cutting plant numbers down by loads, so this is a great time to try this. I'm going to move in about 4 months and am downsizing everything then, even more than now. So getting killer yields is vital for me!

I'm not sure which nutrients I need to get. Is grow and bloom enough on their own? I'm not a fan of these nutes lines of 7+ bottles

Details of the coco. This sound any good?

all good man, ive been a soil grower for many years & experimenting now with various coco/compost/soil mixes, i like coco/compost mixes cos it gives some buffer with nutrients & is more forgiving than straight coco, getting some great results with 4 parts coco/2 parts compost/3 parts coarse perlite with various organic fertilizers like blood & bone mix, chicken manure added too for a potting mix, for an inground mix been using 2 parts coco/4 parts compost/3 parts perlite with added trace elements & various organic fertilizers added.
have noted using the above mixes much less watering is needed compared to when standard potting mixes were used, also less watering in the inground mix compared to the original soils around here, the coco seems to really hold the water better than standard soils & allows for a much finer root structure.
im using heaps of mycorrhizal treatment with every watering cos of strong disease issue here so less ferts are needed, fertilizer program is basically once every 4 days a mild combination of standard powdered growth & organic liquid watered in, the same with bloom cycle using mild bloom formulas, some synthetic & some naturale, all is working good cos of the buffer effect of the compost added, the experimentation goes on!
bottom line is using the coco mix you have shown is good if your right on top of the nutrients balance & watch very closely, basically the same as growing in rockwool, with an organic compost added it allows more flexibility & buffer when it comes to the fertilizer schedule

I'm going with the gold label mix, plant magic hydro silicon, plant magic magnecal+, ghe flora micro and their bloom. I'll use the silicon as ph up, traces of micro.

Been a bit slow getting this started. Stuff is on the way to me.

Right, time to learn how to grow in coco... Slow start..! lol

I'm going to do the C'99 clone in coco after I move. For the minute I'm going to practise with 4 regular Reserva Privada Tangie freebies. I want 1 strong female mother plant from these 4 regs.

After 4-5 days in root riot cubes, I planted them last night into the hydro/coco mix. Today they were looking ok...

I did coco for about 3 years it's actually pretty cool stuff I always added cal mag when I fed & I did 60% coco & 40% perlite I think you'll do well I too had to downsize my grows & am still trying out how to get higher yield from 1 or 2 plants

Very nice. I would imagine that they would dry out pretty fast.
Haven't watered them since I gave them a full soaking about 5-6 days ago. Give them a week or 2, then they will be drinking loads I bet. I can't flower these yet, just picking a Mum for my next grow after I move. Kind of seems pointless, but doing this now means I don't have to do it after I move. I can still take clones before I move though, when I have a strong female I can anyway.

They are 18''under a 6500k sunmaster metal halide. I've got the temps running at 70 - 73f. I don't monitor humidity.

I get a bit annoyed with how long soil takes to dry out. Plus coco growers always rave about more yield than soil.

I've got this ten litre fish tank, which I bubble 10 litres of water in for hours. I use a 7.5ml spoon. I'm doing this 1,2,3 kinda feed. 1 spoon of magnecal+, 2 spoons of flora micro, 3 spoons of flora bloom.
