Trying to help out my mom...

Hello, so long story short my mom has Stage 3C Ovarian cancer. She had major surgery NYE, and is about to start Chemo... I am her primary care taker. Well we are not in a state that allows medical use, She does benefit physically and mentally from it. With Chemo coming up, it only worries me more about the effects etc... Are there any strains out there that have good effects with cancer/chemo patients? Any other useful info I may be able to use to help make her more comfortable. The vaporizer is in the mail. She smokes tabacco as well, so this will help all around...

Thanks,
C.

Hey other, most MJ helps w/ nausea, appetite, etc..Sativas will give more of a "head" trip, indicas more body relaxation.. I guess it would depend on your preference.Best of luck to you both..God Bless:lol:

Good lord, get her off the tobacco. The vape is a good way to start, but damn, tell her that unless she's giving up that shit needs to stop.

Almost lost my mom to cancer a few years ago. I wanted so badly for her to try MM, but she is too damn stubborn. It killed me to see her deathly ill, puking from the chemo, the enormously expensive medications not helping. And here I have the world's strongest anti-nausea medication yet I can't offer it to her because it would only upset her. Glad that's not the case for you.

Hope things go well.

Man, she's stubborn about her cigs. So I usually take out half the tabacco and fill it in with mary. I asked her doc today about her views on medical mary, she said she actually has prescribed it to teenagers with bad cases of cancer. So makes me believe even more the different ways it helps her. Atleast I know she is some what more comfortable mentally and phsyically.
Man I feel you, the bills are stacking up, her disability is all fucked up, shes about to start chemo - wich is 5 hours long each session. At least it is only 1 every 3 weeks, but what she is about to endore, I hope i never do. Doc told her, that she still has quite abit active caner in her still, that reaccurance is more than likely. Ok, sorry for going off, I partook and my mind is realeasing hehe. Looking forward to better days!

I take it your mom is in remission? If you dont mind me asking.

Yea, she is, after a shitload of chemo.

It's one of those cancers that more than likely will come back though. Just don't know when.

I hope that when and if it does, and she needs chemo again, that she will be willing to try the MM. I will get her a volcano and keep her supplied with a variety of organic medicine.

She went from a healthy 115 (she's petite) to less than 90 pounds. Looked horrible, when I hugged her it was like hugging a skeleton. She is back up to her pre-cancer weight now. I just hope that if it's needed the MM can help her keep her appetite during the chemo. I know it can if she will accept it.

Anyways man, good luck to you both.
