Trying to understand ROLS

As long as they have something to munch on I doubt they will ever leave a small pot!

Quick question!

Do most No-till/ROLS gardeners always water from the bottom, and apply teas at the top when plants need it? I had planned to water from the top and same with teas

I found they will make an exodus on 'hot soil' but i usually put a bit of 'unfinished compost' in with my soil startup/re-amendments so they stick around.

Alright I am back to compost tea questions! :)

What ingredients is everyones favorite for bacteria and fungal teas? I have not made it to the point of figuring ingredients for each but here is my list thus far.

Alfalfa meal
Kelp meal
Rock Phosphate
Gypsum
Molasses
Oat meal lol
EWC/Compost/Rabbit Poo

And thats all I have for now. I do not want to use Guano. Is the humic fulvic acid necessary? I would rather have amendments than bottles.

Thanks!

If I had to speak for "most no-till/rols gardeners" I would say they water from the top. Some use SIP's, etc. But the peeps I know like it from the top. ;)

If the goal is to extrapolate microbes then you want microbiological active EWC (fresh), molasses and lots of aeration. Any solids added to your brewer will lower your dissolved oxygen. Unless you have a DO meter and you know you are in a good range I'd stick to the basics.

Best of luck!
