Turning off lights before harvest ??

Hey everyone so I'm 65 days in checked my trichs and seeing a lot of amber so I'm pretty ready to chop... but I wanna try the old turning of the lights trick. Anyone that has done this Plz feel free to write back with ur results. What does it exactly do in those 3-5 days of darkeness ? Thanks RIU

it costs you 3-5 days

if it isn't dank when you're ready to chop, nothing,including putting it in the dark for days will help. grow great weed and you don't need tricks or gimmicks.

Yeah I think 12 hours of dark is meant to help with getting rid of chlorophyll or something? I usually give mine 24 hours because why not.

Im at that stage and just been doing a staggered harvest.
Started at the end of week 8 and chopped 2 of the top 3rd of the plant since they were 40"tall lol. I watered before then waited for the soil to dry out and feel light. Then waited another day. And chopped a cpl hours after the lights came on. Fed one more week and now ive just gave only water another week. So im at the end of week 10 w/ 2 indicas. Waited for the pot to feel light and dry out and cut up more on just the one.
Its really personal preference i believe. All you can do is try it out. Up to you

I good snail slow hang dry will clear up the chlorophyll.
