growing in your parents home, thats a dick move.. you get busted they loose their house.. its cool to risk your own neck but when your risking someone else's ass who knows nothing about whats going on is just a dick move no matter how you look at it.. but honestly if your doing it your probably too immature to see whats wrong with it. all i can say is your an inconsiderate dick, and i hope your parents dont burn for your lack of concearn. kids shouldn't be growing weed anyway, its an adult risk, and an adult hobby. if you were my kid, id beat the shit out of you.

Hey everyone I'm new here and wanted to share a video I found that might help some people seeing that most of us growing with CFL are trying to cut costs. Might want to line the pipe with a emergency blanket, some mylar, or just some white paint but other than that it looks solid. Figure it would be great with 2 105w big boys from 1000bulbs and put a few little ones on the sides. And yes they make high watt cfl's that fit in reg socket just look for " medium base" or "e26 socket"when bulb shopping and you should be fine. apologies if this is already somewhere in the forums THERE ARE SO MANY!!!!! haven't read them all yet lol

I totally agree I can understand doing it in your own home or place of rent. I do..lol.. but I would not chance losing something thats not mine to lose. As far as kids growing I cant say no to them growing a plant like sunflowers but this is not a sunflower. I have kids of my own and have taken great measures to assure they have no idea whats going on as far as MMj is involved they just know we have a garden with good food. Kids should learn to grow but not mmj. i would not approve of them trying it at all. what they do when they are older and hopfully legal to do is there own risk. But thats just me and my opinion as wel as there mom's. If kids need a good hobie try fishing or sk8bording..lol they grow up so fast I hope to never blink..much love Red

What would you recommend for a 4x2 area? Can easily rig a pully system in the area, but I'd prefer pre-wired or sockets n' lightstrips. Safety is my number 1 concern. :)

Working on developing my first grow room. Here is what I am thinking?

Dark Room TWIN Grow Tent - dimensions are total 4ft X 4ft x 7 ft with one room being 4x4x5 and one room being 4x4x2.

Space: In my basement with a 4 foot ceiling. Planning on laying twin on its side so height would be 4 ft tall, depth is 4 ft deep, and width is 7 feet wide.

Lights: hanging t5 flo lights on the sides of the tent rather than on the top, allowing for as much height as possible.

as an example, using the 4x4x2 room: hang two 4 ft/8 tube 400 watt flo lights on two sides of the room. adding the below CFL socket adapter to hang from the center of the grown room and dangle in the middle of the room while surrounding this CFL socket with 3 or 4 plants. The CFL should add anywhere from 250 to 500 watts. approx 1000 watts.

Pots: planning on using square 3 gallon pots.

1) Is this too much or too little lighting for the small room?

2) comments on the 4 ft ceiling?

so confused on the CFLs. I am getting different answers from many different people. can you use only CFLs throughout the entire process?

Eventually, I will add and move into the bigger room and start using both rooms either as one veg and one flower or two flower rooms.

Starting slow.

Thanks for all your help!

i havent been growing for long but i dont thinks there "too much light" when it comes to clf.(ecspecially during veg) as long as u dont burn them. but u can take advice from a more experienced grower with cfl.(not being a smart ass, just trying to help)

hi to all, i got 2 60watt blue and 2 60watt red i use both for veg and flower. in veg i put the blue above and the red at the sides then for flower i change the reds to the top and blue to the sides. i thought this would be common sense. anyway should i keep it this way or would putting 1red 1blue above 1red 1blue at the sides or 2 red above 2 blue at sides for veg and switch 2blue above 2red sides for flower. would it make a difference in anyway. any suggestions.
