two questions about growing california orange

i'm still waiting for my seeds and i know this won't be an issue for a while, but this plant grows over 50 inches which is kind of big, so i can i force flower it at a smaller height by going into 12/12 lightening at maybe two or three feet?

also this plant has orange flowers

how can i tell when the bud is ready with the colors like that shouldn't usually you pick when the white flowers turn into reddish, there would be no way to see that with this color

you can still use trichomes color as the guild, right? they start clear, then milky, then amber.

If you wait till it is 2 or 3 feet tall you will have a monster. I flowered mine at 12 inches and they are now about 3 1/2 feet tall. Plants double and triple in height during the flowering stage so don't let them get too big in the veg stage. Good luck.:peace:
