I want to know what has led you to your various opinions, Med. Its a learning process.

I've already stated the good things that Bush has done in a post made months ago. The tax cuts were one of them, remember?

Geeze you and a lot of people. I believe you when you say the tax cuts influenced your pro-Bush stance. I believe I got about 80 Bucks, so fuck his tax cuts, I'd pay twice that to shove them up his ass, literally. Opinions are like assholes VI you know the rest. I* see the world as a whole, a bunch of people that need help and no-one wants to give up any of their riches to help them. People are so involved in their own little lives that they don't see the big picture. I guess that is my problem. I see the big picture and know I am helpless to change it. It's like watching a runaway train about to crash into 6 billion people and knowing there is no way to stop it. I am the canary in the coal mine, and nobody sees me lying on the bottom of the cage, dead. If the "world" doesn't get a grip, were finished. I give it less than 50 years, and that is a very optimistic view. I did quite a few trips in to the world of peyote and saw a few disturbances in the ether. That is where I got my views from, now should we talk about why you are such a right wing hypocrite, we've had similiar backgrounds, born in the same state. lived in the same geographics, married with children etc. Why do you hate all things that would help people less fortunate than you? Are you really that insecure? Please don't give me that government taking over your life Ann Rand crap.

"Why do you hate all things that would help people less fortunate than you?"

Med ... I don't hate ALL things that help people, I just think (and know) that government isn't the most viable vehicle to provide that help. 7x and I have made that point repeatedly here in the forum. Government is the least efficient way to help people. Private charity is the way to go. Ayn Rand believed that also, as do most liberty devotees. When government enters the equasion, government wants strings attached. When government strings are attached, liberty suffers. Not so with private charity.

med, it's a proven fact that private organizations do more to help people than government ever will.

i've mentioned large lists of these before but you already know that government fouls up everything they touch. they use it POLITICALLY, charities don't. end of story.

It may be the end of story for you, but not for me. You are assuming that if you took government out of food stamps, charity would take over, in a word, you are Nuts, take government out of schooling, Nuts, take government out of rent subsidies and rent control. Nutz, take government out of taxation, Nutz. Show me the plans you have for charities to take over the burdens of the poor on society, you have none except your pie in the sky charity bullshit, show me the money.
