Hi all I want to boost the RH in my drying room its way to dry. Problem is my ultra sonic humidifier just burn out. Does it HAVE to be a ultra sonic humidifier ? or could it be a cool mist humidifier ? My buddy tells me that if I don't use ultrasonic humidifier in the dry room ill get mold.. Could someone weigh in on this please. :)

One type of humidifier is no more likely to cause mold than another. Mold risk is completely a matter of how high you drive the RH in the room up to.

I like ultrasonic just for the fact that I don't have to bother with filters (cool mist) or having to pay to heat water (warm mist) Realistically, I doubt that one type is really any better than another when you factor every plus and minus in.

Thanks droopy :) . I kinda thought so, but I respect my elders and I wasn't about to question his "knowledge" no matter how false it is lol. Have a great one bud. :)
