Ugh, this is such a damn fiasco.

I haven't been on these boards in awhile (used to be posting/reading a lot in the growing section...which by the way helped a lot!).

But I've got this stupid situation that I need to vent about, and this felt as good a place as any (plus some of you could give me some feedback...of how stupid I am).

I'll try and keep this story short:

I have a friend who I've known for 12 years, but as a passing friend, used to see him like once a year, now that I've moved closer to him (and away from my connections) I see him like 4 times a year.

I no longer have the option of growing, and while I was growing, I lost my connections. So I asked him if he could hook me up. He said his friend could. We will call my friend Guy A, his hook up Guy B. Guy B is a bit crazy, smokes dirt weed, but supposedly can get kush and haze, and every other buzz word name.

I trust my friend. I don't trust that he isn't getting screwed on quality or quantity, but I took a risk as I had no other good option.

I give Guy A $200 on Saturday. He gives Guy B $200 on Monday evening, to get $100 from his guy at work (Guy C) on Tuesday, then another $100 on Wednesday (today). I'm already stressed not knowing if I'd get something worth my money.

Turns out, Guy B didn't get anything yet, because Guy C is home sick from work and won't be in till next week (Tuesday)...kidney stones or something like that.

Guy A said Guy B would hook me up with some of the dirt he smokes, to tide me over and to make up for the wait, but I just don't feel like driving out to see them twice...meh.

So yeah, I don't know what I'm getting, how much I'm getting, nor am I even confident in when I'm getting it.

don't give someone you're money unless you see the herb first. So there are 4 middlemen needed to get the weed, hahaha too much!

Unfortunately, the War on Drugs ensures that we must, on occasion, deal with scumbags. The dirtbag factor is high in any black market. I hope these guys didn't juke you for a couple of hundred dollars.

Don't accept the schwag. Later he'll say he delivered as promised.

Normally, I'd agree...just from personal experience from when I was younger, but I was requesting $200 worth...which I could understand someone not being able to lay out. As I said, I trust my friend...just not his friend.

Also (from what I was told), Guy B hooks up Guy A at what he pays, takes no profit...and supposedly that is what he is doing for me (as Guy A told Guy B how I'm an old friend, blah blah blah). So it is a bit rediculous, but hopefully it whatever quality I get will at least be the appropriate weight for the price.

Guy B was telling me how I'll love this stuff sooo much (doesn't everyone say their pot is the best? haha) that I'll give it to my friends to try, and they will want to buy it off of me. He said he'd sell me $200 worth, that I could resell it for $400, then give him $50 back. I made it clear that is not something I am interested in, but at the very least it makes me think that the stuff will be a decent value. Or he is just crazy.

Exactly, the average joe runs the risk of dealing with such shady people, or being the victim of various crimes. Crimes which cause more harm than smoking ever would.

Anyway, I can't imagine it being schwag...but even if it is low-mids, or brick weed...I'd just like the weight to be appropriate to the price. As it is, beggars can't be choosers. But that would be a sharp drop from the kush he was offering.

BTW, from what I gather, the weight of this stuff will be individual gram bags (that might be just shy of a gram) for $10 each.

When (if???) I get this stuff, I'm going to weigh it all out, and I'll take pics so you all can see if I got screwed or not. I'd love to try it out when I get it, but I don't want to smoke up then drive with it.

The guy gets it from (Guy C) refuses to sell weight, only broken down into bags...and I believe he only brings to work with him a max of 10 bags a day, which is why it's coming back to my neck of the woods on two separate days.

I'm telling you, this is some stupid stuff to go through. I wish I could buy it like everything else I buy. Online, where I find the best deals, read customer reviews, and pay for overnight shipping (that I can track through UPS).

DUDE!!! Next time...... please DONT trust nobody. I learned my lesson a LONG time ago... I gave some dude $20 for a 20 bag outside a bar, and i was waiting for him like 20 min.....

I was too young to go into the bar at the time, so i was fucked......

He jacked me for $20

Please learn from this bullshit.

Well said. There is NOTHING that pisses me off more then knowing that i can grow my own killer buds......... BUT instead i have to bait my self out, and try to buy off shiesty dealers with no honor.. its a real catch 22.

That's whats killing me. I've been around the block many times...and when I lay out all the elements, and events, it totally seems like I'm going to get screwed.

I just happened to trust this guy...and I haven't 100% conceded to the idea that I'm am actually getting screwed (beyond, perhaps, getting unimpressive pot).

Well...one week from now, I should have something....ugh.

To be honest, I've trusted many people with my money before I got the weed. Then again, the max amount I was buying was about a 1/2 OZ. I always have one of their friends wait with me, so if the dude doesn't show up, at least you get to rough up his friend. Never had to. I have confidence that you'll probably get some decent bud, and what you paid for.

Hope for the best but be prepared to learn from a mistake.
