Don't you love how the cure for acute intoxication is to take benzos? Worst fucking meds on the planet! I don't get why "overdose" symptoms aren't part of the side effects.

Benzo's eeeesssssshhhh

and hence why we have Benzo Buddy's. http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/

Doctors fail or don't mention to people the simple fact, that is BENZOS ARE ADDICTING and you may very well be on them for the rest of your life. Specially if you take them longer than 4 weeks.
Everyone is different but hey...this shit is very bad news. Nasty nasty meds when prescribed for the wrong thing...
Don't get me wrong. If you are naturally ill and cannot be helped without medication ...they do work for sure.
People become addicts and they don't have a clue why their brain has been rewired...permanently for some.

I used to take methadone for pain...there aren't many docs that can prescribe it. If you take it in liquid, they have to prep it each time. I found it very effective for pain, just couldn't deal with the side effects at the time.
congrats for getting off of the Meth Mr!.. I guess Heroin wasn't legal at the time?

...Methadone is another government fuck up all by itself. Nother story lol
Amazing how the government really likes sick people when they are sick but hell if they wanna cure or make themselves better ....

I used to take valium for back spasms...I still have shit happening because of that crap and it's been years since I've taken it. I wonder if morphine will cause me similar problems.

Mind me asking what sort of side effects?

Morphine WILL weaken your heart in time. It's a known fact.
As for Heroin, You're much better off if that's the type of pain relief you need.
People have this stigma attached to heroin...
Lemme say this :) ...if you took tobacco away, right now, in an instant and no one had any!!!???
lol :) .... It would not take long until someone died as a result of the chaos.

Heroin is something that people can do, day in and day out...and if they are addicts...as long as they have it...they can actually, grow out of their addiction. Believe that or not.

Heroin maintenance. Check it out.

Just another group of GOVERNEMNT MADE ADDICTS that they set up that way.
Junkies would be far better off with Junk given to them. Far cheaper.
As long as an addict knows he can get high. They can work and are normal.
It's only when they can't afford their addiction, when they become obvious..

lol

Robby is not a good example. tee hee

Good luck Rob :)

Well you have to understand the situation first...I was at the pain clinic in Vancouver and my Kid gets diagnosed type 1 diabetic....my spouse is stressed about it....I refuse to leave pain clinic....big shit storm.....anywho....I left the pain clinic with 30ml twice a day. Plus 4 ,other medications...my heart would race, I would shake, I had the weirdest dreams and al ,I wanted to do was sleep...and that was the problem for me trying to look after a sick kid that was too young to communicate his needs. I also found mold in one bottle, there was only one doc,up here that could prescribe/dispense. I dumped a L down the kitchen sink one day and never looked back. That's when the high dose morphine started. Nightmare! So there were a lot of things going on at that time that more than likely played a role, but it was the wickedest pain control I've had yet.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is really appreciated.
I always listen closely to patient's feedback, it is the best source of information imo.
(glad my son takes it in pill form, although it's a real bitch to get filled)

I was doing some digging and found this government publication.
It seems to contradict their stance of marijuana has no studies and no medicinl benefits...

http://www.parl.gc.ca/content/sen/committee/371/ille/presentation/amar-e.htm
[snipped for brevity]
I don't think you quite know what you found. I know I don't, seeing as there is no date on it. I think this is a presentation to parliament and/or the senate by this "Amar":
J Ethnopharmacol 105 1–25

Note that there are an array of presentations with the URL root "http://www.parl.gc.ca/content/sen/committee/371/ille/presentation" that pop up if you put it in Google, some of which appear to be too old for the MMPR and all connected with drug policy:
http://www.parl.gc.ca/content/sen/committee/371/ille/presentation/kalant-e.htm
http://www.parl.gc.ca/Content/SEN/Committee/371/ille/presentation/single1-e.htm
http://www.parl.gc.ca/content/sen/committee/371/ille/presentation/dion-e.htm
http://www.parl.gc.ca/Content/SEN/Committee/371/ille/presentation/kokoreff4-e.htm
http://www.parl.gc.ca/Content/SEN/Committee/371/ille/presentation/conroy-e.htm

I don't think any of them are government policy, just presentations/info given to the senate.

Definitely an odd find.

Yes you are correct, I really don't know what I found.
I was searching " marijuana / Mcmaster University" when this popped up.
I think it is a senate presentation too.
I also found it odd there was no date on it.

The reason I say there is a government contradiction is because they repeatedly say there is no evidence of medical benefits or studies, and I believe this "presentation" suggests otherwise. One can only imagine how much information the government actually does hold on the subject matter.
Thanks for taking the time to look into it MT.

When was malmo -Levine? I see that as one of the references. I wonder if this doesn't have something to do with the senate committee paper that came out early 2000 something I think.

There is quite a lot of study on marijuana done by the Canadian government. You have to remember they had a secret growing program for decades. Dr. Ernie Small did a ton of research for them, all well documented, tons of books. Now the majority of his work is on the genus, taxonomy, biochemistry of the plant. However follow this thread and you'll find a lot more than that...........
