uk outdoor growers! how you getting on with the lack of sunshine??????

just wondering how peop's are doing this year as the weather is shite, as there is nothing better than the sun how much minimum sunlight should these plants get??

Not sure where your growing dude but im south east (hour from London) and there has been PLENTY sunshine, been hitting 24c some days. There is defo enough sunshine for my babies.

Yeah but its not consistant with the sun as its mostly cloudy, do you know how much sun they need a day?

yeah south east too and hour from london.....south facing garden getting pukka direct Sun. ladys are doing really well. started em inside feb took out april.. Beasts i say...... Church from greenhouse cant fault it, second time now and will defo do again

am force flowering so 3 weeks ish to go

Id say at least 3 hrs by the way... We have cloudy days on the trot with gaps of sunshine, since june 1st we ve had aboutt 20 days where its been sunny from 6am till afternoon, about 4 or 5 days al day sun no clouds, quite a few sunny days with clouds passing and the rest pissin it down ordark and grey... Ladys outside buds are proper solid altho they produced solid indoors but anyway there insanely crystalised and fat considering 3 weeks to go still... So all in all i would say on average its prob about 3 or 4 hrs direct a day from what mine are getting and there doing really well

the weather in the south east has been shit to say the least the last few days....typical england... first grow EVER got three S.A.G.E two white widow outdoors against two white walls to reflect as much sunlight as possible. Few problems though i was just wondering if anyone could help.....

1. We transplanted them into new pots as i was using just rergular multiperpose compost now changed to bio-biz all mix, but we suffered a bit of root loss during the process and i think theve been a bit stunted in growth, theve started to pick up a bit more after going out this morning but would anyone recomend using some "root juice" to give them a bit more of a boost in life.

2. there very small still we geminated on the 28th of april (aprox) and their probs as big as lowryders at the start of veg atm, and we have only just this last week got them outside perminatley due to security perposes lol ....will they pick up and still flower in time?

3. the leaves started to curl on one or two of them in aprox their third or forth week and now the ends of the leaves have died and gone brown on the sage its looking a lil bit stressed . and theres some tiny white spots developing on the 3 point leaves under the first sets of adult leaves and its spreading around all the plants leaves

please can anynyone help me i dont want my babies to die on me although ive heard that S.A.G.E is a very resistant strain to disease and good at coping with stress

hoping to get some pics on today aswell might help to get a better diagnosis lol

Mine are about 5ft now & thats not stretching.....We need the sun in august & september for flowering

The uk is fine for growing & i think ill easily beast 4oz a plant this year...

what strains u doing and how many u got going =)

These are our babies lol there nice healthy colours but as ull be able to see their are visable signs of stress i think that was caused by light stress in the first few weeks of their lifes what things could i do to improve there health..... PLEASE LET ME NO I WANT A HALF DECENT YEILD lol

i started off outside and because the weather has been shit i bought lights and fans and shed loads of other stuff, now im growing one outside and one inside, lol

the one im growing outside is going good, the one inside is better, reason i kept one outside is because i dont think its going to be as good a smoke, it was never the better looking plant...

Hello Guys... I`m in Wales on top of a mountain and my 2 Girls are growing great in my greenhouse (cheap plastic one from Aldi`s £22.00). They got to about 3Foot then i had to start LSTing them coz i did`nt want the farm next door to see them. I`ve got to admit though that i`m having more fun trying to train them to go around the pot without getting any higher Especially after nearly killing them both with a too strong a mix of Bicarb and Liquid Soap for mildewI`ve also just taken a clone off each one to find out if they are male/femail and put them on 12/12 (I`ve not had a smoke since December last year and these can`t grow Quick enough) LOL... HAPPY GROWING EVERYONE...

blue cheese vegging since april topped and fimmed all over

Thinking of digging holes in greenhouse to put them in as touching roof now, but dont want to dig up all the insects that live under the floor

You could line the floor with something to keep the bugs out or just bend some of the plants over a bit. I might cut down on the size of the top colas but at least you've avoided the height issue. I had the same issue with my make-shift greenhouse, so I dug a few feet down - didn't bother lining it to be honest - and also bent the top colas down 8 inches or so and tied it off to that same stem a bit lower on the branch. In a matter of days, all tops had evened out and now I've got several more mini-colas and they look fine. It adds a bit of stress but if you reach the top of your greenhouse, it could increase chances of mold and who knows what else.

hi there first time out doors in uk dont really no what to expect made the mistake ov not taking the straggler out thay r both 2foot now started to flower and r both female started floowering two weeks ago would it be better to chop one as i cant remove it from the huge pot would really apprieciate any advise thanks

Hi Lizard. If they were my Girls i would tie 1 over to the Left and 1 over to the Right (LST) to leave as big a gap as possible in the center but only because the pot they are in is quite big and should be able to cope with the extre roots in there that way there is more to smoke when finished. But then again i'm greedy lol... They are both still going to get about 2/3 bigger yet so should be OK but keep your eye on the watering as they will use it quicker being in the same pot.

thanks for your advise m8 thay dont seem to be growing toward each other centrally its like they no not to cross paths lol i cant really lst them as my little tomato cabinet aint got the space lol
