Underneath canopy lighting theory thing stuff

Im using a 10w 6000-6500k floodlight pointing upwards towards the top of the canopy:

-It seems to have sorted the problem of penetration that LED's (weaker LEDs at least) seem to have.
-It has rejuvenated a lot of the leaves instead of the usual dying off/falling off that usually occurs. There are new leaves coming through all the time.
-The popcorn buds that occur have fattened up, and arent so 'airy'. A bit more substance to them.
-The light doesnt seem to be too harsh for the leaves, no bleaching or any i'll effects that i can see.
-It is cheap, cool and completely waterproof, so it can sit on the soil underneath.

2 or more would be ideal on each plant i think, but was more of a experiment to see how they would go.

I am at Day 44 of flowering

Thoughts team?

Yeah mate. You are looking for more supplemental lighting arent you? A 20 or 30w (or more) could be your answer instead of CFL's. I also used these 10w floodlights on my seedlings to about 14 days. :)

I like the idea of this very much. When I used to run my cfls, I had one 6500k 28 watter between all the plants. Yield was increased, and plants grown with side lighting from the start seem to have sturdier branches, and thicker buds. Most of the underside of leaves are white(ish), and they will reflect more light to leaves in the lower section. Post results please!
Sincerely,

Ideally you could cut all that undergrowth before it even exist... you have to be in the garden a lot and dedicated. Personally I throw the popcorn buds in with the trim. I think those buds will still lack in potency and I wouldnt bother, especially if 2 are needed per plant thats a lot of wire in the grow room. I am not saying it would help though just a lot of work money and efforts for little reward.

Hahaha...so you assumed i was looking for a alternative light source? Yeah you didnt read at all did you? :) Its for general health of the plant, an experiment for my popcorn buds, and i already had a few of the 10w floodlights, no hassle for me, it just sits there on the soil, sucking fuck all power. :)
