I have a spring down the road from my house. It has been tested safe for drinking water. The ppm of the last batch was 13. I have seen it as high as 33 right after a good rain.
The PH is usally some were between 6.5 to 6.8.
The last I got was in the low 5's but stablized to 6.5 after a few days.
1 drop of GH PH down will drop the ph 2 full points in a gallon.
up to 10 drops ph up to to raise it 1 point in a gal.
I used it in a dwc and nothing grew in it as far as I could tell.
Should I use this water?

If it's truly tested safe for drinking water (passes bacteria, mold, pollution, and other related tests), then I'd say why not go for it?

They came around and tested the artisian wells that people get water from. Put up signs warning you if it failed in anyway. The spring I'm talking about is the most popular one I'm sure it was tested. I have found a sweet spring that is coming in at 105ppm. It's very sweet and is being bottled out the spring. True mineral water. This spring has a deep history and once believed to be medicinal. I'm using it in my beer.

The river in front of my was tested and was going to be declared a prestine waterway. Then the farmers got together and had it tested to prove that it wasn't.

Why you my ask? Because they would have to be more careful with what type and how much fertilizer they can use.
