I have 2. I use only one in the grow room, my favorite.
and the other in the grape/orchards

https://www.amazon.com/Ade-Advanced-Optics-Salinity-Refractometer/dp/B005ES6MOQ/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1506615564&sr=8-7&keywords=refractometer

you can spend more or less on them in the grow room with twisted hands I drop everything dozens of times a day, and this guy's built like a tank for me. First one broke on the first drop.
Sorry if this sounds dumb but why do you use a refractometer?

in the orchard I can tell general health of my pears, apples, cherries, grapes etc by testing with it. the device shows me how much sugar is in the leaf or fruit parts of the plant=brix. for instance I wont harvest my apples until I see the highest brix of the season, or my grapes etc. much sugar tastes good in fruit.
in mj high brix plants are less susceptible to pest and can show healthy by indicating burned and unburned carbs in the plant material.. I aim for high brix until the end stages of development, when I aim to have those excess sugars converted into energy for the plant right before harvest. This is why some people need to ferment their weed in jars after its dry even. A super healthy mj pant with high brix is not ideal to harvest, feeding should be timed for the reduction.
the excess sugars taste nasty, burn shitty. but when the ferment uses bacteria to consume those sugars/carbs making the weed less harsh on the lungs. feed less, ferment less? the tool lets me see exactly whats going on during the life of the plant with uptake, excess nutrients, etc. its used for other things too, like blood plasma, saline, antifreeze, etc.hope helps

I don't remember what day I planted the auto seed. It hasn't come up yet. I'm not sure what I will do if it doesn't sprout.

I was planning to add another grow area.

In the meantime I will post pics of the veg plants under it.

I was just zooming in on it. Hmm idk how close I can get but I'll try when I get home. Thinking about hanging up the UFO80 led light and vegging out my run right now which is under my diy veg light. Haven't tried out the light for veg yet but will switch to 18/6 from 24/0 as well
I gotta water as well when I get home. They r usually praying lol20170930_122705.jpg

I might be wrong here, but those blue diodes look to big to be genuine osram oslons...... their usually tiny compared to those ^^ "Cree" and epistar? White chips

Can you get closer / macro shots?
I also believe the osram oslons are the deep red and the crees are the blues. When looking at the LEDs when they r both on I notice yellow and green. Looks like a rainbow almost when giving off its reflection

i just pulled down a CLW with osram SSLs

the red chips with the gold backing (center bottom and upper right corner) are the ONLY ones that resembles an osram. those other chips with the tiny square in the corner are likely something else. they may be a different kind of osram, they may be a different chip altogether
