yeah my first instinct would be watering, but those pots /are/ pretty small too.

I a newbie but had a similar problem with the funky yellow-green pattern on the leaves and i found i was giving them too much Potassium

ugh to hell with it, i'm transplanting when i get the chance.

i have a question for ya, when your giving them nutes, is the soil moist? if you nute with dry soil you will burn your plants even with organics.

Yea i do wait for the soil to dry before watering, even with nutes, so i guess when i want to nute water i'll do it when soil is moist.

UPDATE

THEY WERE ROOT BOUND AS HELL. I went and got a bunch of 2L bottles and transplanted the sons of bitches... I hope this finally lets me enjoy their growth and not worry over it constantly. In addition, the HPS has been raised as high as it can go, so its all or nothing now, else i'll have to start tying down. Here's a pic.

they were in 5 gallon

ouch ive had that a few years back its not fun im sure its root-bound.
