Whats up RIU??

Put this in Newbie Central, but should have put it here.

3 plants in flower, same strain - purple papaya. Week 5 flower starts tomorrow.

-4×4' T5 and 4 cfls
-4" exhaust fan w carbon filter
- cool air is pulled in through door frame
-Two are in 7gal pots and one is in a 3gal. -Promix hp w micromaxx xp amendement
- only PH'd water (between 6.4-6.8) for the last month or more
-water every 5 days sometimes more often on smaller plant
-found a few gnats at the end of week 2 but dried them out, hit em with DT and put about 1-2" of perlite of top. Also sticky strips everywhere.

RH% is consistent between 40 and 48.
Temp is between 23-25c during lights on and around 20-21c when the lights first come on.

Nothing has changed in the last month - temps, rh...theyve stopped stretching so they havent gotten any closer to the light.

All of a sudden I notice that a bunch of fan leaves are canoed downward. Still good for water (prob do Saturday). I trimmed a bunch of fan leaves off today as i hadnt really done any pruning until this point.

Possible phosporous deff.?

First pic is 4 days ago and other pics are today after a haircut.

Help?!

looking pretty good overall, i'm thinking a combination of a little too much N and maybe not quite enough water...the two of those things together without being very severe might cause that, don't see a lot of signs of deficiencies otherwise

my friend saw this, said he was having the same problem in hydro, he said he ended up fixing it by feeding it more, weak nutes cause ph swings which can cause lockouts. it might not be the same thing in soil, but worth a try, give em a shot of bloom nutes, as little N as possible, and see what they do

Thanks Rog.

They def have some extra N from the xp soil amendment - rookie mistake, mixed in a little too much.

You could very well be spot on with them needing water - because of the gnats (which are gone) ive been trying to let them dry out between waterings - i will water tomorrow and then go every 4 days.

Cheers

Yep N TOX ... Same damn shit ..
My issue was i fed from a bloom container that the nutrients separated - i looked at bottom and saw solid chunks ( threw it out ) .. So plants were fed an unbalanced nute. It canoed downward and clawed.

Post from my other thread on the same topic....

Great questions!

I have the full line of General Organics, but I haven't fed them in over a month - rookie mistake in that I mixed in the soil amendment too strong and its basically a borderline chronic N tox (no burnt tips, but dark dark green lower leaves - partly from lack of light penetration and have all been removed)

Only thing ive done is one foliar application of very light mixture of Bloom nute.

As for moisture, they don't feel as light as when i would normally water, but i realizenow that could potentially be all the weightthe buds have put on since watering last.
Edit: finger banged one of the bottom holes and it was dusty

Rootbound is a def. possibility as i wasntexpecting them to grow that big haha
