Upstairs Heat Issue

Last winter I moved into a 2 story house, unpacked started everything up and all was well. In come's the end of may and it was well into triple digits. I had no idea how much heat is held upstairs here, up around 10 degree's from the lower part of the house. No shit heat rises I know that, what do the rest of you in a 2 story do? It's not practical to cool the upstairs when no one is up there. The A/C unit sit's around 76 down stairs nice and cool, upstairs will be around 82-84 with the tent sitting at 88 degree's, with the lights off. What do?? It is only going to get hotter and the boss will beat my ass if I add anything else to the equation.

Sounds like you will need to install a window AC unit-you could save electricity if you put it on a thermostat, so that it only kicks on periodically. You could also try to get some fans and blow cooler air upstairs, but that will probably be pretty inefficient. That's my 2 cents:)

Looks like your gonna have to let the boss beat your ass. A window unit is a must. Does she smoke? If so it might help your cause.
My wife smokes more than me so she is always up for improvements.

Lol yeah she does but I used all that up on a new tent and fan. I think I'll look into that window ac.

Look on Craigslist it's still somewhat early in the season but you can normally find one pretty cheap on there
