Im currently on my very first grow and today marks 1 week for my girls. Im growing 3 auto fem gorilla glues from fastbuds, aswell as 3 auto fem pinapple glues from advanced seeds. I have them in 3.5 gallon pots except for one who was supposed to be a solo cup experiment but had to be transplanted due to how quickly she was growing. She is chilling rather comfortably in a 1 gallon water jug that I cut in half. They were planted directly in soil on Aug 4th and my firt 2 girls sprouted August 8th. Next 2 August 9th Then at last, my last 2 girls came up August 10th
They are being grown in ffof with 20% of perlite. They are only being watered when needed with distilled water (Wal-Mart). They are on day 3 of 18/6 light schedule (24 hrs during germination) I have them under a full spectrum 1200 led light.
Im like a new mom with 6 newborns, so NATURALLY im a ball of nerves worring myself over the slightest change  I figure i post my girls and get some feedback. Are they to small?? Do they look healthy?? Is that one red stem normall?? Although my grow is for lack of better words "low- budget" I believe i can get good results aslong as I dont overthink things and keep things simple. So please, take a look and let me know if all is well or am i doing something drastically wrong.

Hi welcome to riu. First grows are always a bit nerve racking try not to play with them to much and you will be fine. What medium are you growing in? I’m an organic man myself. They look pretty good to me I grew some auto gg by F/B at the start of the year these plants really grow fast finished in 10 weeks. I recommend just using lst. The only thing I would change is the led light but only if the budget allows. Good luck

I recommend growing an auto along side a few photos for a first time, clearly it's too late. When those thing get bigger make sure you water them enough, I've grown 2 autos. Both were small, one TINY. I think underwatering played huge roles

I have a few updates!
Today marks week 2 for my girls. On August 16th, I noticed that two of my girls (PG2 and PG3) Were leaning do to how quickly they are coming along. I decided to add a few more inches of FFOF to the pots. I focused on building the soil around the stems to add a bit more stability. With in a few hours, both plats adjusted themselves accordingly and have been doing just fine ever since.
Temps have been a bit higher then wanted, do to a heat wave in my area. The girls seem to be dealing with it just fine. As of 10:45pm
GG1 PG2 and PG 3 are working on There 3rd set of true leaves. GG2 GG3 and PG 1 are working on there 2nd set of true leaves.
Week 3 is quickly approching and im a bit nervous in reguards to the first official feeding. Fair warning...I may be a bit of a pain in the ass for the next two weeks so please dont hold it against me lol I promise to keep my questions to a minimum

Coming along don’t stress to much over the nutrients just go easy. I research each strain some do not like much nutes I’ve had 6 healthy plants and 2 burnt a few times just because 1 strain can’t handle it like the others. I just burnt 2 of mine listening to an idiot at the hydro shop, the temptation of bigger buds got to me lol.
You can see the burn coming threw and leaf curl :cuss:9E5BAA07-3477-4D2D-9D50-45F48304F929.jpeg

Still looking great imo. Looks like you spotted the issue early and are dealing with it accordingly. Definitely will take it slow in reguards to the nutes.

Hey guys!
I hope everyone's week is going well. Quick update. The girls are just hours away from day one of week 3. I wanted to post some recent pics while I had a bit of free time.
So nothing has changed since last week. Decided to forego the FF Trio and just top feed with FFOF @ week 6. Keeping it as simple as possible. Hope yall enjoy the quick update. I do have one question...from looking at the pics, do you think I can begin to LST the girls OR should I wait for them to get a little bit bigger?? I know im supposed to wait till they have atleast 3 to 4 nodes....not sure if im counting those correctly
Let me know what you all think. Any feedback/advice is ALWAYS welcomed and more Importantly apreciated.

Hey guys!
Its officially WEEK 4. A few quick updates. I "recharged" the soil, by adding several inches of FFOF to my 3.5 gallon pots. I begin LST training Saturday afternoon, and have noticed a HUGE change. They definitely are taking off. Nothing else to report. So enjoy the pics and as ALWAYS any thoughts comments and feedback are greatly appreciated.

As if my week wasn't already going to shit:wall:
So my mom had to have emergency double valve replacement open heart surgery yesterday. Im beyond stressed out. Decided to spend some time with the girls as it always calms my nerves. Was ajusting one of the pipe cleaners and SNAP!!!! I broke the stem pretty deep.
I tapped her rt away and let her be. I thought all was well as she looked fine yesterday (Snapped her TUE night) Went to check on her this morning and she looks like shit!!! Everything above the brake is wilting and im TOTALLY lost on what i should do from this point. Take a look and as ALWAYS any advice is GREATLY appreciated

Hello Friends
Not sure who remembers little old me, but Im back to get this rt. Unfortunately due to several factors my first grow was an utter flop. Between heat issues wrong lighting poor ventilation, on top of a miss calibrated scale....my girls went from budding beauties to dry hags in a very short time.
Decided to wait a while before starting a new grow and figured I would reach out to my good friends and ask a few questions before I start buying.
I have a 4x4 closet and want a decent light that wont kill my pockets. I think the last go round, my light was a bit too strong (1000 watts full spectrum) for 6 plants or it could have been to close to the canopy. What would be the rt amount of watts for my 4x4 grow for 4-6 plants??? Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. (Side Note lol pay no mind to the ducting. Mama's trying to figure some things out)

you can definitely grow with any light. My grow room gets pretty hot itself, its always around 80-82 and my plants are growing amazing. 3 fans for constant circulation and a exhale co2 bag. i used happy frog up to week 4 and then did a happyfrog/ocean forest mix for the next 2 weeks and am now feeding with megacrop pretty much every other day and they are flying up. i would just try again with that light and make sure to have a few good strong fans to blow the air around. I have my strongest fan blowing the air out of one of the open ports on my tent to get some of the stale air outside of the tent

Thanks for the reply
What watts are you working with in reguards to your set up?? I adored Mega Crop. Unfortunately I discovered my scale wasnt calibrated correctly, so my measurements were WAY off. In the end I was unknowingly overfeeding my girls and the suffered as a result.

right now i only have a 300w LED cheap one off amazon and im about 6 weeks into flower and my plants are about 14" and are quite bushy. i have another light on the the way thats tps that someone suggested for me. so i will be running them both when they get here next week and i will flip them to flower. this is them a week ago. the only thing i seem to have trouble with is the watering. cause it seems as though my soil is dry every single day. it could be since im about to transplant them and they need bigger pots or that my tent does seem to run somewhat hot at 80-82 degrees always. but i stay between 45-55 humidity
