hey guys, so like the title says, sick plants, I need help diagnosing please! grow: 400wMH 1 1/2ft - 2ft, gromor potting soil ph neutral, no nutes for these guys just plain water, i have a ph-moisture tester so i only water when the bottom is dry. 18/6 light cycle. about 2 days ago i mixed some compost in with some of the potting soil at about a 20/80 ratio and just topped all the pots up as they had stretched cause i initially had my light high to avoid burning the seedlings, but all my other plants are loving it, including another i replanted.

seedling 1: transplanted 2 days ago, was healthy then but i was very careful extracting the root system and replanting.

Way too early for deficiency... imho, something is burning them.

What potting soil? What does it say on the bag?

the potting soil is made up of mainly soilless constituents according to the bag, the compost is manure, mainly poultry so the bag says.

Do you have a pH tester for the water you're feeeding?

I hate to say this, but they look awful for being so little.

Ensure in soil your pH in your water is 6.5-7.0 (to be honest, I'm in 25 day flower, and my plants liked 6.4-6.5, but alas, rule is 6.5-7).

It may be that your soil-less mix is overfeeding... such a seemingly 'organic' type soil shouldn't cause nutes to over-excite themselves with water, so let the pots go nearly fully dry, then run them thoroughly with pH'd water... fill until it can't hold anymore, let them sit for a few minutes (or until there's no more water on top of 'soil'), then feed them again and then put them back under the light.

With a 400w MH, at this age, I'd leave it about 24" above the plants until they start showing more growth, unless you have an air-cooled tube/hood, which can be left about 1' above the plants.

so you reckon a flush would help? i have a ph tester and ensure neutral ph is kept. currently not running any hood but have a fan, although i dont have it on constantly, i turn it on for a couple hours a day to simulate daily wind. the light is currently about 24" above the plants, i have 6 other plants who are all doing very well in the same conditions.
edit* just tested my feed water, ph 6.5 although in the pots it tends towards neutral.

Somehow get those out of that soil and put them into a 50-50 mix of FFHF and FFLW. Then water them every four days. Maybe every three.

Root damage on initial transplant?
What other choice does he have? Do you really think flushing is going to fix this. It will kill them. They may be doomed already. I would suggest starting over to be honest. My bet is the root system is not very entrenched with that much damage.

nah i was pretty damn careful, maybe minor, but nothing to cause this. if chicken shit is too hot then that is more than likely the cause, i have flushed them thuroughly. any more advice? wait and pray? :/
