Urine

Urine is ok. I tried it at 50/50 with tap water. It greened them up a bit at first. I use it sparingly when veging but prefer my regular fish fertilizer. I suppose 1:5 might be a good idea if you use more of it at once. Thanks for the info on dilution.

What do you mean "At first"?
What happened after that?:o
One must also remember, the effectiveness or toxicity of Urine also depends on the diet of the provider.

Nitrogen is mostly urea, phosphates are super phosphate, and potassium is in ion form. Urine is totally fine for plants when diluted.

They just didn't seem quite as green after second application. I'm thinking I need to try your suggestion and increase the dilution ratio to 1:5 (water:urine). Enclosed is the current subject outside in a lava rock/soil mix. There are other items of consideration for sure such as weather temperatures and soil ph.

I went with 1:3 water:urine last time just to see if increasing the ratio would help. Will know more later but so far they look good. It really did perk up the tomato plant. I tried the 1:5 idea on a test plant in the landscape and it didn't kill it but it drooped so I wouldn't go that high.

The problem is that urine has more Na than N. Na bad for weed ... other plants are rather more sodium-tolerant. cn

Honestly dude, I do NOT condone the use of urine.
If you read my post, (sorry sarcasm is not carried well when typed, relative to spoken) you will notice I was quoting a dumb shit post from a previous thread that was NOT by me.;-)

So I've used my own urine for other plants in the past and it did wonders. I added my urine mixed with water to a yellowing MJ plant. It is nice a green today. I can't believe I stopped using a simple organic nitrogen source!
You are a friggin idiot. The only place Urine is usefull and safe is dispersed outdoors in a soil garden. Human urine can be filled with so much crap such as salts, drugs, hormones, trace metals, and not even to mention diseases (despite common beliefs a number of diseases are passed in urine), it definitely needs to be processed before recyclling.

Outdoors where there is plenty of water, microbes, and sun the crap is diluted and if possible broken down naturally.
