CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — At least 30 gunmen burst into a drug rehabilitation center in a Mexican border state capital and opened fire, killing 19 men and wounding others, police said. Gunmen also killed 20 people in another drug-plagued northern city.
The killings marked one of the bloodiest weeks ever in Mexico and came just weeks after authorities discovered 55 bodies in an abandoned silver mine, presumably victims of the country's drug violence.
The bullet-riddled bodies of 18 men and two women were found Friday in five different parts of Ciudad Madero, a city in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas, where violence has surged this year amid a turf battle between the Gulf cartel and its former ally, the Zetas gang of hit men.
Police had no information on suspects.
It was the deadliest day in Tamaulipas drug violence since 18 gunmen died in clashes with soldiers in April.
Another round of killings occurred late Thursday at the Faith and Life center in Chihuahua city, about 210 miles (350 kilometers) south of Ciudad Juarez and the border with El Paso, Texas, state police spokesman Fidel Banuelos said.
A day earlier unidentified assailants killed one man and wounded another at a rehab center in Ciudad Juarez, which has become one of the world's most deadly cities because of drug violence.
More than 60 people have died in mass shootings at rehab clinics in a little less than two years. Police have said two of Mexico's six major drug cartels are exploiting the centers to recruit hit men and drug smugglers, often threatening to kill those who don't cooperate. Others are killed for failing to pay for drugs or betraying a dealer.

You clearly haven't thought that one through. Perhaps we should focus on solving the root of the problem, that is - why these people feel the need to enter into our country illegally in the first place. Think about it.
You think people should be shot for trying to make a better life for themselves, or that someone deserves to die because they're stealing from Americans? That alone speaks volumes.

most all our factories have moved to mexico, but yet they still come, i have wondered why.
why they show no concern for american laws, they just show up like know one is gonna care.
why they come here and steal, drive drunk, murder, rape and every other kind of crime you can think of,
then run back to the border when the shit hits the fan.

you may want to look into the relation between the telecommunications industry in mexico and illegal immigration. also suggested is to look into the effect nafta has had in making a few americans rich at the expense of millions of mexican farmers. just check some of my posts, i'm sure i have blathered about it before

i hate to say it but your right. i lived by a Hispanic part of town and there was so much more crime then where I'm at now and i couldn't stand how they treated there women. but i have also met and worked with some great guys that just wanted to work hard pay taxes and raise a family.
everything being said hear has been said about the Irish in the early 1900's so i dont think its race or color but the fact whoever is migrating to this country is just taking a piece of the pie someone else had there eye on and that can make a few folks (like myself) upset

Mexican farmers are doing better today then ever before in the history of man! Do you have any idea how much ag is in Mexico? Ag that the U.S. has lost. Ask the people of CA,AZ and Texas. Search that shit! Labor may me cheap in Mexico but nothing else is Power, telephone, land, and payoffs. The Mexican farmers are getting paid and the businesses are making money. Whats wrong with that?
We rich americans also pump a lot of money and lose a lot of fucking jobs to Mexico.. so please don't throw out some canned bullshit about a " making a few americans rich off the expense of Mexican farmers. That's crap, if the farmers don't want to grow for American companies then they don't have to, right ?
Why is it ALWAYS the fault of the U.S.A. ? Mexico is it's own problem. The only thing that keeps Mexico down is the Mexicans. They need to stand up to their government and demand change. But I don't ever see that happening!
