USA Midterm Election Night

Make your predictions, let people know what races / issues you're watching.

Basically I'm watching the MN and KS house/senate races.

Also:

South Dakota has a Medical Marijuana Initiative up for vote.

Both Nevada and Colorado have Marijuana Legalization Initiatives up for vote as well.

Missouri Amendment allows for Stem Cell research, which would be interesting.

Right now the GOP has the Senate by 11 and the DEMs got the House by 11 or 12. Historically a party takes both during midterms so it's still up for grabs in my book.

WTF is up with people in CO and SD!!! They don't have anything better to do than smoke weed and ski:

CO: 35% yes / 65% no - 1% reporting
SD: 47% yes / 53% no - 9% reporting

Hopefully they pull through there! NV should be reporting in the next hr or so...

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for Nevada.... Looks as though my state is full of stupid voters. Looks like 6 more years of rubber stampers from Texas. But I am at least happy that Kinky has taken votes away from Perry.

Nevada Marijuana Initiative:

42% yes
58% no

2% reporting

I'm moving to Amsterdam...
Well, I guess the people of my state are not too smart afterall. Lets hope it turns around, but the odds are slim as they voted it down last time also! If I could afford it, I'd move with you! The cops put on a big anti-pot campaign here, I guess they were afraid of losing their Jobs!

So where are we with the marijuana in Nevada? (I'm with you Vi, fingers crossed.)

I got my wish in Pennsylvania; Santorum is no more!!! (Celebrating!! :-))

I cried for Texas; It looks like Kinky lost. :-( (The best candidate I've seen in a long time.) It's a sad sad day, not just for Texas but for the country.

Here in Illinois, Topinka is losing. Blagojavich up by 9% (as of 12:35A ET).
I hate them both.
Although I think Topinka might be worse.

Hey Vi, Ron Paul was up for reelection. I'm pleased to say that he is winning.
22% margin between him and some asshole named "Sklar".

Ron Paul is one on the few republicans I like. In fact I like him allot. He's a Libertarian Republican.
In the "2006 Marijuana voter's guide" he is the #1 ranking congressman, above all Dems and Reps.
He is definitely a friend to everyone on this site.

Marijuana across the board as well as most other "liberal" social initiatives have not passed. Looks like we voted for Dems as more of a symbolic power shift but choked on REAL issues that would effect Americans.

I did not expect this from Colorado...

Edit to add: Fuck Santorum!

Ron Paul for President!

Vi

He's got my vote. And Kinky should be his V.P. :blsmoke:
That's the kind of America I could be proud of.

Fuck Colorado!
All the scumbags who vote against legalizing marijuana should be hanged, and their children too. I apologize for being so cruel, but if you fuck with my freedom, I show no mercy.
