the whole time, used 2700k, plants did not stretch, buds looked amazing for CFL's, everyone is saying you must use 6500k for veg... wrong and i've got the proof. 5x 24 watt cfl's, got about 1/2 ounce off 1 plant and it wasn't even a foot tall. used MG for the first few weeks, diluted to about 1/2 strength. lights were about 2-3 inches away, also had to harvest early due to special conditions. :( but still got some good sht. Also got put into 12/12, 2-3 weeks into veg. The purpose of this is to show people that you dont even need 6500k to grow. 2700k CFL's still have blue spec. its just very small amount.

weird. last time I did that.. I wound up with some of worst buds ever man. They were airy as hell...

but. it was just an experiment.. no big deal.

if u know what sun light, hps,mh do,u should know that cfl might make u upset.

This was last year. if i remember correctly the buds were pretty dense, each of the big ones on the sides weighed around 3.5 each(dry) , it was also topped.

weeks from seed was about... 2 1/2 months ... 10-11 weeks, even used MG soil, which people say is bad. didn't do anything bad for me. i guess what im saying is under even the easiest and cheapest of setups. you can get some nice budz :D

i wouldn't say CFL's are better than MH or HPS, you will always get better results with HPS or MH, but these results arn't bad at all. 1600 lum's a bulb with 5 bulbs. 8000 lum's entire time.

thats a bummer, id save up for a HPS, a 250w is like 150 bucks on ebay. CFL's are for small grows, id like to do HPS, but need to keep it small which means that HPS will produce too much heat to monitor in a small box. CFL's are cool as long as you have a couple fans. used Computer fans to keep it cool

yea but i dont think customs would let that go thru without a problem so im trying not to risk being caught....i found a small hps and a 175watt metal halide but no ballasts!!! only the ones that wire like thru some shit...not the one that plugs in to the wall and generates ur lights...idk i had a loooong day of trying to find the ballast for it and failed

thats another thing about CFL's that i like, No ballast, just a 110v socket and some light sockets :P, used a power strip and 3 Y splitters, that gives you 6 lights just on 1 strip, hang the strip over your plants and it works great, just remember to add side lighting, side lighting is a major role with CFL's.
