Using both MH and HPS throughout??

so i have a total of 1600 watts. (2) 400 MH's and (2) 400 HPS's. i just started my grow in soil a few days ago. my babies are around 4 days old. im growing in a Darkroom 240w. its awesome. anyways, im currently using all the lights for veg, the plants seem to love it. why wouldnt they, more lights = more growth. my question is, is it okay to use the MH during flower?? does the same rule apply with more watts = more yeild even if its more of the blue spectrum? i know everyone says if you use MH for flower you get wispy shitty buds, but has anyone tried of using both in conjuction with each other? thanks.

more lights the better.
for vegg you need blue spec
and
red for 12/12.
but you can use both lights for vegg and 12/12 as long as you have both light specs.

do you mean how old are the plants? they are around 6 days old...somewhere around there...they look great and already have their third set of leaves. im going to start a journal soon...btw, im growing 3 White Widows, 3 Ice, and 2 crystal.

sounds excellent ... get a journal goin and keep us posted ... sounds like you will have some kick ass plants with 1600 watts . and i thought i was a bit overkill with a 1000 watt hps in a 39"L x 39"W x 79"H
any issues with heat in that tent ? what fans and hoods do you run ?

sweet. thanks for the rep. no issues with heat because im running a 14000 btu stand alone air conditioner. i got it for a slammin deal at compact appliance for like 350.00 shipped. the hoods i have are not vented, they do have glass covers though. my temps run stable at exactly 80F, lights on or off. the only other ventilation i have is a small 4 inch inline pulling air in from outside for fresh co2 for the children.
