Currently in week 2 of flower. I understand that it is possible to top up the light with CFL although would a dual spectrum have any negative effect.

When i look at the CFL it is one slide blue one side red (obviously) but just wanted to know if this would have any negative effects for the flowering period

Any help welcome

Flowers want the intense light!!!

add away just remember to keep your distances and shut the light after 12hrs, don't let light in while lights are off, I couldn't even tell you how much light is to much light, but 125 watts a sq ft could be almost TO MUCH, definitely aim for 80-90 watts and your plants should reward you nicely!

50 watts per square foot with HID and 30 watts per square foot with LED.
Go nuts with 80-90 per square foot though! Lol

your plants will tell you if you have too much light. I'm running 37.5 watts/ SQ FT with T5s and if I get my light closer than 12 inches from the canopy I get light burn. I need to ask why dual spectrum CFL ? HPS has all the red light you need. a standard 6500k would be better as supplemental lighting. you would get more light and less heat running a 2 bulb 4ft T5 fixture with a agromax UVA plus and 10000k bulb mix. this would give you less stretch and a better quality product
