Reptile lights only provide 5% uvb which is what you want so basically 5% sucks, use proper tanning tubes which can produce uva or uvb,use the uvb tubes only and youll see ten times more difference than a reptile light.
At this moment i am searching to find out if i can fit a 100watt uvb sunbed tube into a standard 100watt fluro fitting,of the correct length.

Here is a list of tubes that i found:

UVB light definitely works but be careful with it and find the correct distance and amount at a slow pace if i were you.
I was gonna buy a facial tanner but if i can buy a pure uvb tube and it will fit into a 100 watt fluro tube fitting that would be a lot better for me seeing as i already have the tube fitting;-)

Where I live there are 3 kinds of UVB CFLs from the animal store. There's also the tube version of these to.

2.0
5.0
10.0

On the box it says that 2.0 is for plants but I think its possible to use 10.0.
