I always use a UVB T8 during growing can't really compare it for data but I do know my gals enjoy it being around

Kite,
I am with you 100% on UVB and have seen the results for myself. In the one picture you posted the bulbs are verticle. You might want to change them to hang horizontal for better coverage because the top foot is not hitting any of the flowers and is wasting the usable light. Other than that your setup is tits. And when sam did the research years ago the only uvb bulbs out at that time were low output bulbs and little was known about the correct spectrum nanometer wavelength needed in the narrow bandwidth between 290 and 315nm. Here is something interesting about UVB bulbs.
"That is because these lamps emit only a very narrow waveband from the ‘B’ bandwidth of the UV spectrum (290 to 315). This narrow waveband is between 305 and 315 nm and peaks at 311 nm: the most efficacious waveband. Here is a link to a new bulb by phillips and it's use in medical treatment of psoriasis."
http://www.ecat.lighting.philips.com/l/lamps/special-lamps/medical-lamps/medical-therapy-uvb-narrow-band/uv-b-narrowband-tl/927978500129_eu/

Shows just how specific a wavelength can be in medical treatment and also has been shown to be specific in it's effects on trichcome production.

Let the haters, hate on. Their loss kite. And thanks for your contributions to this topic. I'd smoke a joint with ya.
Hope that helps.

Kite aka Lumi aka real name Max is no longer with us. After a long bout with complicated medical issues he passed away in intensive care September and left a VERY grieving widow....she is completely devastated, loved him very deeply. We communicate via PM's. There are a couple of tribute threads in his honor at the Riddle site.

RIP Max, luv ya brother......

Damn....

I've been unable to log into riddle for months and just gave up, i had no idea he passed. He was one of the few guys i really enjoyed having pm chats with, he was a very passionate grower to put it lightly.

RIP Max

Hey Ben, is there anything i can do for the widow, like a charity (via paypal) or anything? It appears your pm's are disabled, or i would have asked this there...

I feel that cannabis has given me so much over my long lifetime that i feel like i need to give back, let me know somehow if i can't help.

I run my reptile light in spurts. Not continuous. It's a MH lamp. The spurts of 15 minutes don't really give off as much heat as I expected.

O and winter is here now, so you can just turn on a light and heat the whole house. Save on that gas bill.
