was wondering how close you can put uvb bulbs to the plants? i started a thread before on cfl vs hps and by the end the chat changed to uvb light, i forgot to ask how close i can put the light. See the problem is im growin in a fridge an space is limited and the bulb is about £20+ dont want to waste money unnessaryl

Standard 6500k clfs , have uvb lighting in them and cfls are safe up to about 1 inch without burning , So i guess 1 inch? are there specific uvb bulbs you plan on using if so you should post them to get an accurate opinion.

You could just buy a box of normal 26w cfls for way cheaper than 20 pounds. I dont know what the conversion rate is, but pounds are beating the shit out of the dollar right? You can buy like 6 26w cfls in the states for like 10 bucks. I bought a 65w CFL for 12 bucks.

i have a 300watt clf 2700k on 1 plant its in a fridge thats why space is a problem, ive 2 8w t5 as well do you thnk that would do then?

I finished out flower with 2 cfls 65w and a 55w. I still got an ounce and a half off of one plant, but the nugs aren't very dense at all. More light is going to get you better, thicker, more dense nugs. But you could still grow with that just fine I would say.
