Vacation Watering

I am leaving the country for 2 weeks for vacation and I was wondering what people would recommend I do about watering my two plants. I have two ladies in the middle of flowering right now and they need a lot of water. I don't have anyone in who will be in the city while i'm gone that can water them for me so i'm looking for another solution.

I saw these Ceramic watering spike things that run a tube to a reservoir of water and just they just keep the soil moist. Does anyone have any experience using these or would there be another method that you could recommend?

I built a system with stuff from Home Depot.

A five gallon bucket with their very smallest pond pump in there. The hose running from the bucket and pump goes out past the base of each plant where I cut a small hole in the tubing to let water out for each plant. Hook the pump up to a timer - you'll have to run the system to see how long it takes to water them - for me it is two minutes. Set the timer to auto and bam - auto watering.

If you want to add nutes then you need to make sure the bucket is lightproof and add an airstone and air pump in the bucket otherwise it will get fucked up funky in there fast.

This has worked for me many times. Whatever you do, the important thing is to set it up a week beforehand and make sure whatever system you are using actually works.
