Vanilla Kush Day 64 of Flower

I still say let it go, its not done yet. I would be checking those trichomes to make sure all of them are at least milky white with no clear ones left over. But you should really let her go until you have a good amount of amber trichs too. That way you get that heavy indica stone that a kush is supposed to have. All of those white hairs will be gone, with exception of maybe a few on the very tip of the top, and it will look swollen compared to what it is now. Pulling early is why most growers will never get top quality buds. I certainly understand needing to chop to have something to smoke though. Most of those leaves on that plant will have been sucked dry of anything useful to the plant and would have yellowed for the most part. Still looks very green all the way down. You will lose out on weight and potency if you pull now. The last two weeks a cannabis plant can put on most of its total harvest weight. All of the weeks before that are wasted if those last weeks are not finished. Sure Barneys says 8 weeks, but thats 1000w per plant, under perfect conditions, or outdoors. Looking good, just trying to keep you from losing out on a lot more bud for a little more time.

I supposed the magnifying glass would be able to answer that question best, but just based off how many days and the overall visual, you have another week or two left. Kush strains love to go 9-10 weeks. I've seen so many people pull earlier and sacrifice extra weight so they can pull before the trichs go full on amber and get that extra head high out of it, but I say for a kush which is mainly indica anyway, you're gonna get that couch stone no matter what you do so go for the extra weigh and let her finish.

I use yellowing fan leaves as a guide for how my plant is doing as far as the flush goes. You could still have some salts & nutrients built up in the soil that are causing it to take longer.

I say let it go a bit more as well.Maybe another week or two. I personally would round if off to 75-80 days. You'll enjoy the satisfaction of truely ripe buds. The white widow is still going to have white pistils even towards the end of flowering..How far along is she?

Ah ok. Take a look at the trichomes. My personal taste is to look for close to half amber heads, whilst the rest is mostly milky and small portion still clear. It's up to you though.. I would think the WW could use more time than the kush, honestly.

Its up to you. I have just seen so many people be disappointed with their finished product, it looks good, but just doesnt hit as hard as they would like. And that has to do with not letting it fully mature. Some people want that lighter buzz but I like the heavy buzz that a good percentage of amber trichomes will have over white ones. To each their own. But I personally dont go by age, just by what the plant is telling me because Im not going to harvest until the plant gives me the proper signs regardless.

Does your camera have a macro setting? I use that on mine to check trichomes. Scopes are nice to have when your checking things though its awkward sometimes trying to steady a camera to get a good macro shot in a crowded grow room.

She is definitly done, I am growing this strain myself, chop it up man, I see no sign that she is not done, I have a different pheno than you (mine is the more indicia pheno) but for mine the amber trichs start on day 45, the calyx are swollen, and orange hairs start to come to surface, most of the hairs receed long before many turn orange, I really beleive this strain can be harvested in only 50 days..I am taking mine on day 57..It looks like you shoulda started flushing sooner, you might wanna flush for a couple more days or a week, better later than sooner but I would go ahead and chop it now If I was you and I needed smoke

I like to push em long, so I'd wait a couple weeks, but it appears that you could chop anytime you're ready. Enjoy brother.
