Vape vs Traditional

Guys..

Just wanted to share what I have experienced to see if others had the same...

Recently got the Pax. As advertised, its a totally different smoking experience and there is a learning curve. That being said, I love it. But this isn't a discussion about that. Here is what I have found.

When using the same material --- I have two distinct experiences depending on the method of smoking.

Vape = total head high -- very cool.. good for yard work, cleaning, discussions, etc

Traditional method = Body high.. couch lock.

Has this happened to anyone else? I always thought it was the type of product you are enjoying which determines your "feel", not the method of enjoyment. :)

I have done several experiments to confirm....

Thoughts?

this experience has to do with the specific cannabinoid profile you are activating via vaporization vs. combustion. Check out fuckcombustion.com for robust discussion about vaporization. if your vaporizer has an adjustable heating element, you can achieve the more indica-like (i.e. the cannabinoids found in greater prevalence and concentration in indicas) 'couch-lock' effects by increasing your vaporizing temperature.

I've noticed that too. Vape highs seem to always be much more enjoyable but I can't help but fall in love with the feeling of having my lungs filled with smoke. Coughing and crying from the pain of the hit hurts so good so I do it again.

Yes! This makes sense.. thanks for the 411.. There are three heat settings on the Pax, i forget what temps. The default (middle temp) works for me.

Side note: I love this effing thing! Thanks!
