Veg+Bloom Scam ?

Sample arrived today, sent an email request less than a week ago, Wednesday, got here pretty quick. So, I've got several horticultural projects going and will be using this sample as a test. I've got 4 strains going right now and all started in straight fox farm ocean forest and have fed them nothing since day 1 other than water. I'll make an update later with pics of my girls and some other plants I've got growing.

Been running it for awhile. Seems to be doing fine. I had deficiencies in flower when using only 600-700ppm. I kicked it up to 800-1000 and all issues are resolved. Good stuff.

Yeah the stuff works, i tried it myself in soil and got some of the best results ive ever had.. quality wise but my environment was the culprit for yield, but the smell, flavor, and bag appeal was off the chart.

Just to be clear this stuff,by us, is considered a BASE ONLY. I would not recommend it alone during flower. During veg however its been pretty great.

16 lbs of Maxigro is under $80. A Gallon of Dyna-Gro is under $40.
1. Maxigro can't be used in Flower

2. When using Maxi you also typically need Cal Mag. With Veg+BLoom you do not

3. a gallon of Dyna Gro will be the same situation except you will also need to add Protekt and CalMag

Of course it can and I'd put money on the fact that it would grow healthier plants than maxibloom during the flowering cycle in promix.

I use DG grow from start to finish in promix, check this journal out to see how it performed (https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/566752-classic-seeds-grow-journal.html). Protekt is beneficial but not needed. Calmag supplementation is absolutely NOT needed either.

i saw your journal. I do like Dynagrow. With all due respect, those plants look like they are airy as hell however and not exactly what I would consider a showcase of Dynagrows ability. Looks like you might have had some issues with cold.

I prefer dry powders. The Veg+Bloom is workin well for us at this point as a base.

You do know what a sativa-dominant strain is and how they should look, right?

Indeed. ^^^^^^
Ok, so you realize how dumb someone might look if they were trying to knock another grower's sativas because they were 'airy as hell', right? That's kind of what sativas do.

Just in case, you might want to checkout this thread: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=36181

Also just looked at your AN vs Dyna grow and it seems you actually used 3 parts for your grow. Not 1.
You lost me there, Connoisseur is just two parts.

Why can't you use Maxigro in flower? There's always Maxibloom too I guess..

Anyway, I decided to crunch some numbers real quick..

Even if we go along with your statement of needing protekt and cal-mag, V+B still comes up over 25% more expensive than the other two options.

1 tsp = 4g
1lb = 454g
5lb = 2270g = 567.5 tsp
16lb = 7264g = 1816 tsp
1 gallon = 768tsp

V+B
1tsp makes 1gal
5lbs makes 567.5 gal
5lbs = $89
$89/567.5gal = $.1568/gal

Maxi
1tsp makes 1gal
16lbs makes 1816 gal
16lbs = $77
$77/1816 gal = $.0424/gal

Dyna-Gro
1tsp makes 1gal
1gal makes 768 gal
1 gal = $39
$39/768 gal = $.0507

Cal-Mag Plus
1tsp makes 1gal
1gal makes 768 gal
1 gal = $33
$33/768 gal = $.0429

Pro-Tekt
1tsp makes 1gal
1gal makes 768 gal
1 gal = $27
$27/768 gal = $.0351

---------------------

Maxi + Cal-Mag & Protekt = $.1204/gal
Dyna + Cal-Mag & Protekt = $.1287/gal
Veg+Bloom = $.1568/gal

---------------------

I'm not saying that one is better than that other, just that I thought the selling point of V+B is that it is an all in one complete canna nute system, but you say it's just another base. I say it's expensive for a power base only.

You just proved my point for me. Thank you.

I don't use nearly as much V+B as you calculated with. I use about 70% actually.
