Hi guys, new to the scene.

Was wonderin' how long must i keep the plants vegging b4 flowering?

was thinking of using the SOG method.
Currently I've got 5 plants that just sprouted, what next? veg for 2weeks then flower?
when exactly should i get em clones?

Thanks in advance!

Depends how big you want them. 1 month is what most people around here stick to, but theoretically you could do as long as you want. Also, remember that yield can only reach a maximum, so I would say for a decent crop; 1 1/2-2 months veg then 2 months flower, although this can vary greatly on strain.

was thinkin as i've only got a L3'xW2'xH4' space.

How should i go about doing a SOG instead of big bulky plants?

Then you're not really doing a sea of green. You want to Veg a mother plant or two for 1.5-2 months so it has a bunch of healthy secondary growth branches coming off of it. Then you're going to want to clip those off to use as clones for your SOG. Once the clones take roots you can veg them for a week or two if you feel like or toss them strait into 12/12. If you try to bud seedlings after two weeks you're going to end up with very little bud, and by the time they start to grow secondary branches it's going to be too late to clone them

yeah, i think to add to that, the theory is, that when you take clones, you're doing it from a mature plant, and once the clones take root, the clones will be the same level of maturity as the mother, and you could throw em right into 12/12, getting more bud than you would from young plants grown from seed of the same size... not that I've done it before, but that's what i've read...

aite man, so i guess i'll just veg my mom plant for a month 1st, then use the clones for flowering. Thanks! :joint:

...and, it might take longer than a month, but it wouldn't be a bad idea if you let the mom get to that the nodes begin to alternate, that is when she'll be fully mature, and at her peak of readiness to go to flower- then take the clones, and they'll be really good to go! good luck :joint:
