Veg height?

Wondering how tall YOU veg to get "x" amount of bud.

I Have five clones under a 600 watt in a 4x4. Strain is Gorilla Grape. A super kutz clone outlaw pheno. The two tallest are almost 10 inch. How much taller should I veg to get an ounce of dry flower. Talking estimations...based off your past experiences. Thanks in advance IMAG0001.jpg IMAG0004.jpg

I veg mine about a month or 18" tall with heavy super cropping and LST training. I flower under a 600 watt and have been yielding a bit over an ounce a plant.

How much height do you have. Take the distance from the top of your pot to your light, subtract 12-16" for distance between the plant and light. Take the remaining distance and divide by 4. So if you have 60" between pot and light, minus 12"=48"divided by 4=12". So flowing at around 12" should keep you safe and get the most yield. Under a 600, I'd expect around 3-4ozs of it. Training/LST will spread out the canopy but keep the height low giving the potential for greater yield.

I just reread you're post. You have 5 plants under a 600. You should be looking at 2 Oz at least per plant.....

A screen would work good...keep her in veg until you can fill 75% of the screen...than go to 12/12

How are you're yields so low? I get an OZ off 6-8" clones that finish at 18". Are you in soil? I'm all hydro.

Yo Freak, my ladys current height is 8-9 inches tall. I have 42 inches from top of pot to bottom of light.

My veg lights are set up so I can only veg to 29 inches in a 18 gallon tub. This gives me a finished height around 48 inches depending on the strain. My flower lights are fixed at 6 foot above the floor. I usually pull between 5 and 7 ounces per plant again strain dependent.

Hydro scares the heck outta me. One thing goes wrong whole system is screwed. Although I am experentimg with one dwc gg#4. I believe my low yields are mostly to do to bad genetics. Also was using a sub par cheap light. I have since upgraded. I believe I will get at least 2 oz off of each now.

I used to be all soil. I also started with 1dwc to try it out. I don't allow dirt in my room now. Hydro's pretty simple once you get past the learning curve.

What type of cheap sub par lighting? Before I had my tent and all I was using a few t-5s and got around an oz with fem seeds and autos. Now with clones and a 600 I'm hoping to geta lil more meds.

I was using a 150 watt hps and 6 23 watt cfls. Now I veg under 300 watt led and flower under 600 watt hps. I think I have the hydro thing figured out. Now I have to upscale.
