At the moment i only have a 1 room setup running an mh/hps setup so.. vegetation in mh and flowering in hps. Looking to run 2 rooms so i can veg in one then transfer into my hps srtup to flower.

In the new room i want to setup a CFL setup instead because i dont have much space i wantes to know would this affect my plants in any way compared to running them in veg on a MH bulb?

I dont care if it take longer to reach a certain size etc.. just worried about long term effects with the amout of bud i get per plant.

I didnt think it would matter if i just left them in there abit longer then transfered them? Any advice or someone in a similar situation that can help me out?

Your grow brother you can do anything you want. I settled on T5's for veg and CMH for flower.

Have at it. It's about what works best for you and your grow. We all have different setups and situations. Especially if you're not in any hurry then just enjoy the grow and let the plants do their thing. More often than not we the people get in the way of the plants growing lol.

I don't even use HID for veg everything I do starts under fluorescent lights. Unless I have nothing in the flower room which in that case I might use the two rooms to get rolling perpetually again. 3 rooms actually I also have 2 veg rooms but one is mostly a strain library.

I have an idea in mind to keep a clone room using T5's then put them into a veg room under cfl's.

Another thing i was curious about was if i was to keep a mother plant should i main line her or let her grow naturally and take clones from her when i wish ?

My opinion is to leave the moms as natural as possible to not induce stress for no reason. Just take cuts when you need to and prune her for well being........ now if it's a mom you were going to flower out now and not keep and tight on space so want to mainline etc then go ahead.

Thanks for the help !

The main thing i was worried about was using cfls in veg, is there any difference to using them then to a 600w mh ?

How many cfl bulbs should i use ?

What would be the best growing medium for my veg room?
