I was gonna say mines not even close to silent
But it is deadly accurate
I bought a spring-piston Chinese no name .177 rifle at a gun show back in the 90s for around $30. (The show was closing.)

Worst trigger ever, hideous stock, jumpy AF -- and killed the shit out of everything I hit with it. Not sure what the velocity was, but it was probably supersonic because the thing was louder than my 22.

It was very frustrating to shoot. :cuss:

Hell I don't even know what happened to that POS. My wife probably sold it at a garage sale for $5

I'd get a .22 break barrel single shot that does 900 fps , one that comes with a scope . It's not just the recoil rumor it's also parallax . Air gun scopes are made to shoot at much shorter distances than rifle Scopes . About 30 yards max .

900 fps with a .22 will kill pretty good if you put one in the right spot . Woodchucks and other varmints too .

My vortex BBMG rifle I made years ago.. Not another one like it, the way I machined the internals and block, etc... Blasts through about 3500 copperhead rounds (max capacity) in maybe a minute or less. They spool up inside the vortex block faster than a turbo before they feed into the barrel, and sounds pretty cool, lol. Hookup air tank, c02 tank or whatever. I used a rifled barrel too, so they spiral out of the barrel in a straight line, instead of hitting into each other and forming a spray pattern. Its like shooting a laser beam. I can mow tall weeds and even little trees down, or disintegrate cinder blocks into nothing, looking like 4th of July shower at night. It's f'ing ridiculous to shoot, but been sitting in the closet for like 10 years. I feel bad unloading a 6000 pack of BBs in a few minutes.. and scared to loose an eye..
