Vegging and flowering Q

My friend is going to grow, and I am instructing him for a cut.

I want to know, if he wants to start with a skunk 1 mother thats a seed, and then clone it to like 4 plants, and I want to know how he will time the vegging/flowering for this..

He is also very restricted in height, it has to be under 1.5 ft so i was thinking he would veg 24 hours on a 150 HPS light until it reaches about 8 inches, then switch to 12 12, and do the cutting for cloning( I will read about cloning when the time comes) and then keep the clones at 12 12, and so all flower and stay at a minimum height.

will this work, or will the clones have to be vegged? also how will a low veg time effect the result? will it kill the chance of good buds?

The clones will have to be vegged until they get their roots going. No roots, no product.

You can take the cuttings up to two weeks into the flowering cycle. After that, its really difficult for the cuttings to do well. It CAN be done, just not the ideal situation. The ideal time would be right before turning the lights to 12/12, or up to one week after.
