Vegging MH or HPS

I have read a lot of info on this and want some opinions. I have 1000 Watt lights with digital ballast. air cooled hoods 240V built in timers. These are swtichable so that I can use a 1000 Watt MH bulb or a 1000 Watt HPS Bulb. During the vegitative growth will I get better results with a MH Bulb or should I just use the the HPS bulb for vegging and flowering.

mh for veg and hps for flower, the switch from mh to hps makes them stretch like crazy so youll have plenty of node space for fat colas
