vented hood

what size fan do i need to vent a 1000w hood properly would 50cfm be enough? vent would be outside air through the lite and back outside.

No, no it would not.
I have a single 600w using a 6" vortex and it works nice. I think they are around 400cfm or so.
With duct work of 20' and corners and shit, that 50cfm is really useless for moving air. Might be a slight slight breeze coming out of the end duct, which isnt enough to take all that heat out.

now i have a 6" vortec hooked to the light pulling air from the room out over the light. but was thinkin i need to go with fresh air over the light to reduce more heat, and using the vortec fan for an exhaust, somthing smaller for the light vent?? any suggestions
