I was wondering if a inline duct fan rated at 188 CFM ( In-Line Booster Fan, 6" ) would be enough to cool a 30 cubic feet cabinet. currently i have a 50 cfm computer fan cooling the 400w HPS light. Would this fan do? or do I need more CFM? currently it is a little on the warmer side.

your going to have some problems in the space you have, the pc fan wont do it.
is the 400w in a air cooled hood? if not then it going to be to far away to be of any benifit to your plants.
i use a 110cmh fan and my 400w a air cooled hood and a pc fan on the inlet running at half speed in a 24 cuft grow cab
have a look at my journal its all there.

the inline fan will work but you need to get hold of a air cooled hood it will make a big difference

you need to get a thermometer... if your temps are too high than u need more exhaust.. that pc fan probably wont do the trick but i dont know what your grow room conditions are... in my case i have a 295 cfm fan on a 430w hps.. with a remote balast and it still runs hot!
