Hey guys, so the day has finally arrived! I have all my parts in (except the seeds) So I have a few questions

1) so as far as passive Intake goes. Will keeping one of the bottom flaps open be enough as a passive Intake ? I have a 4in inline fan and a 4in carbon filter up top in the tent. I have a 220wat LED in a 2x2 tent.

2) and what about when the lights are off and the flaps are open? am I supposed to make sure no light seeps through during lights off ?

Thanks in advance

Here is my setup. The insulated exhaust and 4" fan is new as of tonight that blows the hot air from the air cooled hood outside now and not just out of the tent. I use a green light in the room and close all the flaps on the tent. I have a 6in inline fan taking cold air from outside and blowing it through my hood and the hot air goes out being pulled by a 4in inline fan back outside.

Ahh I saw examples of people doing what you did and just taping it. So is it air tight?

So am I gonna have to have the flaps open like this during the the grow ? It's in my dining room area and at night it lights up the whole back part of my house. I need it more low key

Make sure to get the sheet metal cold air tape. Works like a charm, no air leaks last night. Kept it at 1,000 watts all night and the room tempature is still in the 70s and almost touching the glass is 88* F at the hottest. I bought the fittings and then taped. All my duct is 4in and the fans and holes on the hood at 6in so I had to get reducers.

And as for reducing the glow from the light. I don't know man, I have to keep my tent wide open with a swivel fan blowing at the air gap between the lights and plants. It's like a nice spring day in the garage.

Sweet. How about the passive intake. Just having the flaps open is enough ?
