Ventilation problem

I have a HTG tent size 2x3 and I am doing it in my crawl space. I have 12 16" plants that arent even flowering yet but it is stinking my whole house up. I just got the eco plus 442cfm fan along with a goblin charcoal filter and they didnt even dampen the smell. Im going to attach a few pics and, I guess, can you guys let me know if Im doing something wrong or if I have a bunk filter. Also, i just received the Secret Jardin DR150 4'11"x4'11" tent but I am hesitating to dig out another hole if I cannot get this smell in check. Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Should I have the intake proped into one of the outside vents in my crawlspace instead of trying to scrub the whole basement?

Did the air in your basement smell before you got the filter and the smell is lingering. Also is there air moving through the filter for sure? Do you have negative pressure in your tent? can you feel the air getting sucked into the tent? Another thing you could try is to put the filter into the tent. Usually it is better to suck the air through rather then blow it.

Also i would suggest getting all those bends out of the hose. Straighten it up so you have some straight air flow. put the filter on its side, those bends are taking away from your cfms. you probably don't have to worry about it but no sense in making it work harder then it has too.

Yes the air did smell in the basement before I got the filter but where I live it is always windy and the 4 airvents for the basement should be more than enough to cycle the air sever times an hour. Yes the air is moving through the filter for sure, there is negative pressure on the tent and I can feel and hear it being sucked in the hose. Im going to try to put the filter in the tent but that will really reduce the height I would be able to get out of the plants.

Well, I straighted the hose out and replaced all the 4" duct with 6" duct and it still smells a little bit but no where near as bad. Thanks

Your best bet is to put the filter inside the tent with the fan on top of the tent on the out take. Then run the hose outside of your house someplace hidden. That way you suck the fresh air in while pulling the bad air out and pumping it out of the house all together. Thats what I do and It goes out a fake dryer vent no one can see. You cant smell it outside at all. Also you can use a much smaller carbon filter for a tent that size to give you more space.
