venting into heating system ducting? (furnace not in use)

would there be any issue with doing this if the heating system is never used? There is no fan going on the furnace, it is electric so there's no pilot light either. It is a large 4 bedroom house that is rented. Reason I'm asking is because the only spare room that is large enough (it's 8x16) has sealed windows that do not open and one heating vent in the ceiling. I cannot see any problems with this if the furnace is turned off and never used. I would be venting 400 watts hps, the exaust is carbon filtered. Thoughts?

I currently have my Lights being exhausted thru wall and spliced into Dryer vent which goes thru roof. Gone thru one whole cycle without issue regardless if using dryer or not. Have inline fan set-up to make sure no heat from dryer goes back into room. Hope this helps. I don't see issue. How are you regulating temperature. That would be my concern.

To regulate tempurature I have my exaust fan on a timer, which I will have to monitor and adjust until I find the correct timing/temp ratio. Fresh air comes in through the door to the room. It is winter here and the floor is cement so if anything I will have to add some extra heat with a space heater. This is my first grow with a HID light so I really have no idea how much heat it will put off in this space...
