this would be my first indoor set up. and i am running into another snag. i have no idea how to set up the venting system. do i put the fan right where i cut the hole in my roof or do i run ducting from th roof then have the fan in the room. i have friend who have done this but there too busy to help at this point and i am tried of waiting.

It explains how to install an inline fan. This will be installed at the top of the ceiling and you can cut a hole and let it exhaust into another room or add tubing (like on dryers) and vent it elsewhere.

It's a good idea to keep your fan inside the grow. That way you keep the sound of the fan more muffled. If you have an attic in your house, you can vent into that. This way you won't have an odd vent sticking out of your house and raising possible attention from people passing by.
