Venturi Style Bubble Ponics?

I am sitting here looking at my Skimmer for my 145 Gallon reef tank and wondered about using it in a DWC Setup, I am looking for average bubble size, but i know it makes alot of spray.

I hope you dont take it the wrong way, but your venturi is just slightly out of tune. It would be much more efficient if instead on a T style terminal air intake hose, if it would go into the pump fitting, make a 90º angle with the hose hole pointing in the direction of the water flux. This massively increases negative pressure and air diffusion.

The way you have it now certainly works, but the negative pressure is reduced by the air column "smashing" against the water current. Slightly deeper inside and angled 90º would eliminate any counter pressure.
