Just purchased Vermifire for outdoor grow. I didnt know anything about it but the grow shop guy talked me into it, said it was way better than Fox Farm Ocean Forrest/ Happy Frog mix. Said I wouldn't need to add anything to it before I plant in it and no nutes for at least 3 to 4 weeks. My questions are as follows:
1. Should I add another generic nutrientless garden soil to the Vermifire. For example 50% vermife and 50% generic soil. I am not looking to spend a lot and am NOT going to make "Super Soil". I am thinking go to Home Depot or Wal Mart and buying plain old soil. No mixing of anything.
2. What exactly is the definition of "Base Soil"? Some say they use Vermifire for base soil, then add another mix or something.
3. Do you fill half the container with Vermifire, the other half with regular non nute soil so its safer for a seedling?
