Vertical hydroponics closet grow

I'm about to start a small set up in a closet. I've been figuring out exactly how I want to do it and this seems like the best. I stead of trying to explain it im just going to post a picture. I'm not a noon to growing but the vertical hydroponics set up is a first for me, I'm technologically and mechanically inclined, no dummy here!
* This is a rough draft- I'm very open to criticism from anyone who can help!

Misters not drippers? ..better to use a 3d type chart than this kiddies diagram, lets not discuss lighting so early ...lol

I'm thinking misters. The drawing is sufficient enough to get the idea across, I think.
Let me explain my grow space-
It's a closet about two foot wide by about two feet deep by about six foot high.
2x2x6
I plan on having a four to five foot long piece of pvc with the misters run down it on the outside. The plants separated about a foot from each other up and down. There will be a drain in the bottom that goes back to the reservoir (gravity fed)
Inside the reservoir I will have a pump strong enough to power the low power 360 degree misters they have at Lowes.
I have an aerator that came with my shroom set up. It's just a pump that runs through a Mason jar with clay pebbles in it im thinking that I will Y that drill two holes in the Pvc (top and bottom) to introduce more fresh air into the tube. Just an idea though..

As far as lighting goes, I figured I would worry about that after I've got an idea how and what is going to fit in the closet after I have the pvc in there. I have plants going right now so I have lights, that won't be a problem.

And sorry about the "kiddie" drawing if it is not up to the quality that is expected. As I said, it is a Rough Draft.
I did say I was open to criticism though. Lol I drew about three trying to figure out how wanted it before I finally drew this one.. It's not something I just found and am going off.

I'm getting ready to go to lowes meow, I'll post pictures of progress.

well I spent like two hours in Lowes, walking around looking for everything but I managed to find almost everything I needed, and my total was under 100$. (including 300-500 gph pump)

I've got the pvc mounted to the wall to where it is Stout but easily removable. I didn't buy 1/4 inch hose to start running the misters because I thought I had some. Will be going to Lowes to do that tomorrow.
I need to figure out exactly how I'm going to "mount" the plaants in the pvc and what substrate to use. I'll be doing more research tonight.
I plan on buying another 4 inch pvc tube identical to that one tomorrow, because it turns out there's enough room in the closet to fit two. So I should end up with ten plants.

Interesting idea, will keep watching to see how it looks when your finished. If I can make one suggestion though, it looks like you have foil as your reflective surface? If it is get rid of it and go buy some panda or Mylar, foil is one of the worst reflective sources of light.

Oh your reservoir is also clear plastic, you probably want to wrap it or black it out also so the light does not cause issue with bacterial growth or nutrient problems.

I'll get the reservoir wrapped up with tape and see about getting something other than foil. That was just what was left over from my little ones I had going before Christmas. I just put a three selection heating pad under the reservoir to just in case I need it once I start figuring out temps.
With the space I had this seemed like the best grow idea ten plants in a two foot closet doesn't seem too bad:thumbup:

I'll post more progress tomorrow! And please any ideas on how to make this grow better are welcome

Man I think this is a sick idea! I'm at the tail end of my first grow (2 plants in an aero system and 1 in a drip system) and I would have to say this is some creative thinking to deal with a confined space. Please post pics along the way.

Get it set up for the most part. I got it filed with water last night for a test run and everything worked no leaks or anything. I cut a three inch hole for the plants and plan on doing four more down the pvc. I centered and drilled 1/4 inch holes for the misters to go in between each of the plant holes.
The misters put out a sufficient amount of water so no problems there. I am going to T the 1/2 in pvc and double the mister set up soon now that I have done a test run. Let me know what you guys think.

I got it fully functioning now as far as way later goes. The misters work great and I decided to only do three plants in each time giving 15 inches between each hole center to center. I still plan on getting another four inch the four the right side too.
I'll be making a trip to the hydroponics store this weekend :)

So I took a little drive and went to the hydroponics store yesterday, for my first time ever and man was I in heaven  tons of stuff!
The guy that was there was super helpful too. I got everything else I needed to get my grow started. Decided to go with advanced nutrients, didn't find much bad stuff about them online and it seems like since it's my first aero grow I didn't want to have to worry about PH alot.
I got a dome and cut a couple clones from plants from bagssed that I was getting for about a month.

excited to see how this turns out, love the spacial efficiency.... i have a closet with similar dimensions and I'm working on figuring out the most efficient way to grow.
