VERY FIRST GROW!! WHITE WIDOW MAX and AFGHAN KUSH! hope it works!!

was good everyone?
this a thrread for my very first grow, my set up is pretty simple. i pretty much just got a humidity dome. some 42watt=150 cfls and a few 23watt=100 watt cfls. it has been 4 days since i placed my seeds in their rockwool cubes.. 1 of my afghan kush is really outdoing the rest of them. she is up and on her way.. i planted 3 white widow max seeds and 3 afghan kush seeds.. only 1 afghan kush seed has sprouted and started her life.... im running 24/0 light for my babys... i water them about once every 2 days.. just to get them wet a little bit...


one problem that i think i have is that there isnt 2 much humidity going on in my dome.! im going to post a pic up in like 10 minutes of my sprout and my set up!

aight so this is wat i got so far.
there are 3 mazar x afghan seeds and 3 white widow max... i got them in a humidity dome that isnt really making any humidity!! i got the 8 23 watt=100watt cfls giving them light 24/7 for 4 days so far.. i gave them water only 2 times.. wat do u guys think of my set up so far?? any comments?? this is my very first grow so i knoow imma do some things wrong and thats why im here to learn from my mistakes!! so feel free to let me know wat u think so far!!

I never used a dome for seedlings with my WW. I don't think you need that unless your using clones.
You could probably turn of a couple of lights for a few days too. As you plants are still only babies.

Yeah ditch the dome, bring down the lights, for humidity place a little bowl of water in the room or something, let those little girls out and be free.

Yeah that makes sense, so do u think I shud take the top of the dome off and get the rock wool cubes a little closer to the lights??? How many lights shud I turn off?? Thanks fir ur advice bro!

I'd say just enough lights to cover the area the plants are in for now. Maybe the set at each end. I'm not a pro by any means. Just watch I'd do.

But get rid of the dome defo.

Yeah yeah I'm ditching the dome for sure! I'm only gonna use them for clones!! So how close shud I get the lights to the rockwool cubes?? And yeah I'm gonna put a couple of cups of water in my closet to give off some humidity,,, by the way my closet is 8 feet tall, 4 feet wide and 2 feet deep,, with white walls,,, any comments or advice??? Will this work?? Thanks for all the responses!!

I keep my CFL's between 2 to 3 inchs from the top of the plants.
Get yourself a small fan to start with. Not only to keep the temp moderate. 70-75. But for air flow and helps strengthen the plants stems, thickens them up.

The white walls are a good thing. Some people prefer Mylar, but white walls a lot say are just as good. I've just white walls too. Check out my journal in the link in my sig. Mine like I said are White widows growing with CFL's. Similar amount to you. Started with envirolites but broke them (long story)now I have 8 CFL's and they are now showing as females!!

That's bad ass man good luck with ur grow! I'll keep posted hopefully I can learn a thing or 2 about growing, I have the cfl's 3 inches away from the top of my mazar x afghan seedling, and I filled up a little bucket with piping hot water to add some humidity, is that a good idea?? I still need to know if my set up is good so far, I'm gonna post up pics of my new modified setup, haha thanks everyone !!!

Hahaa yeah bro I put the rockwool cubes closer and put a bucket in my closet filled with piping hot water, defenetely making some humidity in there, so how close shud I keep the lights? 2 or 3 inches??? And yeah man I'm excited to see these other babys sprout! It's been 4 days and only 1 has sprouted as u can see... Why did this one sprout faster then the other ones?? Is that normal?? How long shud it be till all of my babys sprout?

Damn the leafs on my plant are turning yellow and dropping , damn

back the light off a few more inches, and see if that helps
